2022 Arizona Cardinals’ win total, Super Bowl, conference and division odds

Analyzing 2022 NFL futures for the Arizona Cardinals, including odds for win total, Super Bowl and division with expert picks.

The Arizona Cardinals made the playoffs in 2021 for the first time in 6 years after they opened the season as one of the best teams in the NFL. The Cardinals won their first 7 games and were 10-2 but faded down the stretch before finishing with an 11-6 record and losing to the Los Angeles Rams in a Wild Card game. Arizona hopes to build off that playoff appearance and contend for a championship in 2022.

Below, we look at the Arizona Cardinals 2022 NFL futures odds – including win total, division, conference and Super Bowl odds at Tipico Sportsbook – with best bet suggestions among our NFL picks and predictions.

Arizona lost LBs Chandler Jones and Jordan Hicks as well as WR Christian Kirk in free agency, but ‘Zona re-signed pretty much all its core players from its 2021 success, including TE Zach Ertz and RB James Conner to 3-year contracts. The Cardinals also added LB Nick Vigil and CB Jeff Gladney.

They traded their 1st-round pick (23rd overall) of the 2022 NFL Draft to the Baltimore Ravens for WR Marquise Brown before drafting TE Trey McBride (2nd round out of Colorado State), DE Cameron Thomas (3rd round, San Diego State) and 6 other players, most of whom will have little impact in 2022.

Arizona Cardinals’ 2022 win total: Best bet

Odds provided by Tipico Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated Tuesday, May 17 at 2:08 p.m. ET.

Over/Under: 9.5 (O: +140 | U: -180)

The Cardinals must weather the first 6 games without star WR DeAndre Hopkins, who is suspended for testing positive for a banned performance-enhancing substance. However, they do get a few favors in that stretch as they will face the Panthers and Seahawks, both of whom are not expected to be very competitive this coming season.

The Cards return most of their  11-win team from a season ago and added WR Brown to upgrade on the departed Kirk. DE J.J. Watt missed half of last season and they have a deeper cornerback room than they did last season.

QB Kyler Murray has improved each season. After winning Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2019, he looked like a legitimate MVP candidate for a stretch of about 5 games in 2020. Plus, he looked like an MVP for half of last season before injuries depleted the defense and the receiver room.

Can the Cardinals match their play when they started 10-2 last season? That might be too much to expect, but they will be closer to that team than to the one that finished the regular season 1-4 down the stretch.

Make yourself some money and TAKE OVER 9.5 WINS (+140).

Arizona Cardinals’ 2022 Super Bowl odds

Odds: +3000 (bet $100 to win $3,000)

The Cardinals are tied with the Eagles and Tennessee Titans for the 14th-shortest odds to win the Super Bowl at +3000. They are between contender and dark horse in terms of odds. The favorites to win the Super Bowl are the Buffalo Bills (+600) and Buccaneers (+700).

At +3000, Arizona has an implied probability of winning the Super Bowl of 3.23% or 30/1 fractional odds.

The Houston Texans have the longest odds at +20000.

The Cardinals looked unstoppable for half of last season, humming on offense and defense. They were legitimate Super Bowl contenders.

They have pretty much the same roster returning and, if they stay healthy, should have a real chance.

With odds like these, BACKING THE CARDINALS (+3000) to win the Super Bowl with the chance to win 30 times your wager is definitely worth some action.

Arizona Cardinals’ 2022 playoff odds

Will Cardinals make the playoffs: Yes -130 | No +110

The Cardinals made the postseason a year ago as the No. 5 seed. The Buccaneers, Rams, Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys are the favorites to win their respective divisions. The Cardinals are among teams like the Eagles, 49ers and Vikings as teams who are expected to be in the mix.

Of the possible wild-card teams, the Cardinals have the best QB of the group. Unless Murray’s play declines, he should have the Cardinals in the driver’s seat.

Backing the Cardinals to YES MAKE THE PLAYOFFS (-130) is worth a wager.

Odds to win NFC West Division

  • Los Angeles Rams +135 (bet $100 to win $135)
  • San Francisco 49ers +175 (bet $100 to win $175)
  • Arizona Cardinals +320 (best $100 to win $320)
  • Seattle Seahawks +1300 (bet $100 to win $1,300)

These are extremely appealing odds.

The Cardinals were one game away from winning the NFC West a year ago with Watt and Hopkins missing the second half of the season.

Three of the 4 NFC West teams should be competitive. With the roster the Cardinals are returning, it doesn’t make sense that they have significantly longer odds than both the Rams and the 49ers, which makes backing the CARDINALS TO WIN NFC WEST (+320) an extremely worthwhile play for at least a small wager.

Odds to win NFC

Odds: +1300 (bet $100 to win $1,300)

Five teams in the NFC have shorter odds than the Cardinals. Yes, Arizona faltered down the stretch in 2021, but a healthy squad would have been in the mix.

The Bucs (+300), Rams (+425) and Packers (+460) are certainly the most likely to come out of the conference, based on how things look on paper, but as previously mentioned, the Cardinals were nearly unstoppable for over half the season and injuries were the big reason why they faltered.

They return with those players healthy.

If they weather the Hopkins suspension, they will be in the mix and these odds make the potential payout worth some action.

TAKE CARDINALS TO WIN NFC (+1300) with at least a small wager.

2022 Philadelphia Eagles’ win total, Super Bowl, conference and division odds

Analyzing 2022 NFL futures for the Philadelphia Eagles, including odds for win total, Super Bowl and division with expert picks.

The Philadelphia Eagles didn’t make a lot of moves in the offseason, but the ones they did were impactful and the team looks to get back to the form that brought them to the Super Bowl 5 years ago and to the playoffs 3 of the 4 years since.

Below, we look at the Phildelphia Eagles 2022 NFL futures odds – including win total, division, conference and Super Bowl odds at Tipico Sportsbook – with best bet suggestions among our NFL picks and predictions.

In the offseason the team made huge splash moves that included $86 million in guaranteed money to 2 players. First, they traded for WR A.J. Brown and backed it up with a $25 million a year contract. On defense, they ponied up $15 million a year to land edge rusher Haason Reddick. The Eagles allowed some depth pieces to go, especially on defense, but they instantly made both sides of the ball better in the offseason market.

The Eagles traded a 1st-round pick for Brown and made another trade to get New Orleans’ 1st-rounder next year, but addressed both sides of the ball in the trenches in the draft. Somehow Georgia DT Jordan Davis fell to them at No. 13 and, in the 2nd round they drafted center Jason Kelce‘s eventual replacement Cameron Jurgens. They won’t sell a ton of jerseys, but they are expected to be foundation pieces for years to come.

Philadelphia Eagles’ 2022 win total: Best bet

Odds provided by Tipico Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated Tuesday, May 17 at 10:41 a.m. ET.

Over/Under: 8.5 (O: -160 | U: +130)

While they have been far from dominant since winning the Super Bowl, in the 4 years since then, the Eagles have won 9 games 3 times and made the playoffs in each of those years.

The Eagles are a classic case of a franchise that is a perennial playoff contender and, with an additional game, finishing with 9 wins is expected, not crossing fingers over.

This Eagles team is capable of 10 wins if QB Jalen Hurts doesn’t lose games for them. Teams that can’t stop the run suffer against the Eagles and their pressure defense makes big plays.

TAKE THE PHILADELPHIA EAGLES AND THE OVER (-160)

Philadelphia Eagles’ 2022 Super Bowl odds

Odds: +3000 (bet $100 to win $3,000)

Being good enough to make the playoffs and being good enough to run the table are 2 very different things. While Philadelphia has made the playoffs 4 of the last 5 years, they have made hasty exits in each of the last 3.

They got 30:1 odds for a reason to take down the Lombardi Trophy again. Philly may be a fun team to watch this year with its aggressive push to get back in the conversation for another title, but until Hurts steps up a lot bigger than he has, that’s a pipe dream. PASS.

Philadelphia Eagles’ 2022 playoff odds

Will Eagles make the playoffs: Yes -110 | No -110

It has only taken 9 wins for the Eagles to make the playoffs 3 times, including the NFL’s first 17-game season — which speaks to the disparity of talent in the NFC. Not only are they the only competition for the Cowboys in the NFC East to earn a spot in the playoffs, they play 2 of the teams widely speculated as being in the thick of the wild-card chase — Minnesota and New Orleans — at home.

As you can tell by this bet, the oddsmakers see the Eagles as a 9-8 team at best. That made the playoffs for them last year and they’re more talented this season with a very favorable schedule that includes the NFC North and AFC South — arguably the 2 weakest top-to-bottom divisions in the NFL.

TAKE THE PHILADELPHIA EAGLES TO MAKE THE PLAYOFFS (-110)

Odds to win NFC East Division

  • Dallas Cowboys -105 (bet $105 to win $100)
  • New York Giants +750 (bet $100 to win $750)
  • Philadelphia Eagles +230 (bet $100 to win $230)
  • Washington Commanders +450 (bet $100 to win $450)

Getting better than 2:1 odds in a 2-team division race looks tempting, but the Cowboys get essentially the same cushy schedule as the Eagles and have a deeper roster and a better quarterback.

I’d be willing to accept a small wager getting more the double back if you’re right, but something tells me the Cowboys will win double-digit games and 10 is the high-water mark for the Eagles. PASS.

Odds to win NFC

Odds: +1300 (bet $100 to win $1300)

It should be noted that there is a demarcation line between the 5 betting odds favorites — the Buccaneers, Rams, Packers, 49ers and Cowboys — and that once you get past them, guess who is tied for the next spot? The Eagles (along with the Cardinals) at +1300.

That is a little strange in that the team is projected to be 9-8 or 8-9. But the reality is that they have the swagger to be a playoff team and do some damage if they get there. However, it will likely come on the road and winning 3 buzz-saw games against elite veteran-laden teams will be a tall tree to climb. PASS.

2022 Dallas Cowboys’ win total, Super Bowl, conference and division odds

Analyzing 2022 NFL futures for the Dallas Cowboys, including odds for win total, Super Bowl and division with expert picks.

There are 3 certainties in life — death, taxes and people willing to bet the Dallas Cowboys will win the Super Bowl. Bookies have been making bank on that bet since 1996. As we enter 2022, we see the same Cowboys bandwagon jumping we always do. This has to be their year, right?

Below, we look at the Dallas Cowboys 2022 NFL futures odds – including win total, division, conference and Super Bowl odds at Tipico Sportsbook – with best bet suggestions among our NFL picks and predictions.

The Cowboys were extremely inactive in the free-agent market. Underachiever edge rusher Dante Fowler and part-time Steelers WR James Washington were their only significant signings. On the flip side, they traded WR Amari Cooper and lost DE Randy Gregory, OT Connor Williams, WR Cedrick Wilson and S Keanu Neal among others. When you put those on a scale, the Cowboys took a big (yet quiet) hit in free agency that hasn’t curbed enthusiasm.

The Cowboys hit hard on offense in the draft by using 4 of their first 5 picks on that side of the ball, including OT Tyler Smith (Tulsa) in the 1st round and WR Jalen Tolbert (South Alabama) in the 3rd. As an organization, the Cowboys get enamored with small-school players with off-the-charts athleticism. Some make the transition to the pros and shine. Most do not. It’s the Cowboys way.

Over/Under: 10.5 (O: -110 | U: -110)

I really hate this number because the Cowboys seem to be predicted to win the NFC East every year — and I do mean EVERY year — by the national pundits and their O/U is always at 10.5. Last year they hit that number, but it’s the only time in the last 5 seasons they’ve done it since QB Dak Prescott‘s rookie year.

My only problem is the schedule maker’s Cowboy crush. Because they are such a box office draw, they rarely get the standard 1 p.m. ET start time. The Jacksonville Jaguars kick off at 1 p.m. 13 times in their first 16 games (all Week 18 times are TBA and I’ll bet now on Jacksonville being at 1 p.m.). The Houston Texans start at 1 p.m. 12 times. The Cowboys? Just 5 times, against Washington, Detroit, Chicago, Houston and Jacksonville — and 4 of those are at home. Throw in 2 easily-anticipated wins against the Giants and I’m hard-pressed not to find 7 wins there.

Dallas needs only needs to win 4 of their remaining 10 games to hit the Over and they will likely be favorites in 7 of those.

TAKE THE COWBOYS AND THE OVER (-110)

Dallas Cowboys’ 2022 Super Bowl odds

Odds: +2000 (bet $100 to win $2,000)

The last time the Cowboys won a Super Bowl, they were welcomed to the White House by Bill Clinton. It’s been a tick. But the Cowboys are being disrespected for a team that should have a relatively clear path to the playoffs — where anything can happen. They are a 20:1 dog to win it all. Based on their NFC Championship odds, they should be a 15:1 pick, not 20:1.

While personally I would shy away from this bet because the Cowboys have never in my view had the look of a team that can play against 3 or 4 different elite schemes in a row and run the table. But, betting $100 to win $2,000 in a year where there isn’t a team viewed as oppressively dominant in the NFC? I’ll roll those dice.

TAKE THE DALLAS COWBOYS TO WIN THE SUPER BOWL (+2000)

Dallas Cowboys’ 2022 playoff odds

Will Cowboys make the playoffs: Yes -319 | No +250

Despite being consistently overvalued at the start of every season, the Cowboys have too many games against flailing franchises not to stack up wins along the way and go on a 4- or 5-game winning streak at some point (see the December slate of opponents).

There are so many other logical bets you can make that involve the Cowboys. Getting a return on investment of less than 32 percent doesn’t make sense at any level. PASS.

For the same reason I would recommend passing on whether the Cowboys make the playoffs is that you’re essentially making the same bet at virtually even money to pick Dallas to win the NFC East (even though the Cowboys haven’t won back-to-back division titles since 1996). The other teams in the division have struggled at quarterback and, in the modern game, if you don’t have a star QB, you have nothing.

The Eagles are legitimate contenders to challenge the Cowboys, but you’re basically getting Dallas even up against Philly because nobody believes the Commanders or Giants have the rosters to contend. Who doesn’t take that bet if you live outside Pennsylvania?

TAKE THE DALLAS COWBOYS TO WIN THE NFC EAST (-105)

Odds to win NFC

Odds: +750 (bet $100 to win $750)

You may be surprised to know the Cowboys are 5th on this list in terms of betting odds — behind Tampa Bay, L.A.Rams, Green Bay and San Francisco. With the exception of Green Bay, even if the Cowboys had to go on the road at some point against any of the other 4, the elements wouldn’t be a factor.

I don’t believe in Dallas sizing for rings at the end of the season, but you have one QB entering the prime years of his career and the other 4 top contenders can’t say the same. Enough reason to say, “How ’bout them Cowboys!”

TAKE THE DALLAS COWBOYS TO WIN THE NFC (+750)

2022 Los Angeles Rams’ win total, Super Bowl, conference and division odds

Analyzing 2022 NFL futures for the Los Angeles Rams, including odds for win total, Super Bowl and division with expert picks.

It was a picture-perfect 2021 season for the Los Angeles Rams, who went all-in by acquiring QB Matthew Stafford, OLB Von Miller and WR Odell Beckham Jr. over the course of the year. They finished the regular season 12-5, won the NFC West and went on to be crowned Super Bowl champions in Stafford’s first season at the helm.

Below, we look at the Rams’ 2022 NFL futures odds – including win total, division, conference and Super Bowl odds at Tipico Sportsbook – with best bet suggestions among our NFL picks and predictions.

As special as last season was for the Rams, the team did undergo some changes this offseason. They lost Miller in free agency to the Bills, which was just the start of their departures. G Austin Corbett, CB Darious Williams, NT Sebastian Joseph-Day and OLB Ogbonnia Okoronkwo all signed with other teams in free agency, leaving voids across the Rams’ roster. Additionally, WR Robert Woods was traded and P Johnny Hekker was cut.

The Rams did add WR Allen Robinson and LB Bobby Wagner as free agents, their only 2 meaningful additions of the offseason. Robinson will help replace Woods, and Wagner greatly improves arguably the weakest part of the Rams defense.

In the draft, the Rams didn’t go on the clock until Pick 104, so the rookies they brought in likely won’t have an impact immediately. G Logan Bruss was their top selection, and he could compete to start at right guard early on as Corbett’s replacement.

Over/Under: 10.5 (O: -110 | U: -110)

The Rams have won at least 10 games in 4 of coach Sean McVay’s first 5 seasons, with the exception being 2019 when they went 9-7. They finished 12-5 last year in the first 17-game season, cruising through the regular season aside from a 3-game losing streak in November.

Their schedule is tough this year, but I like the Rams to win OVER 10.5 games. They have 9 true home games and a 10th game that will be played at SoFi Stadium as the road opponent against the Chargers. That certainly helps, as does the fact that they don’t leave the Pacific Time Zone until Week 9.

Los Angeles Rams’ 2022 Super Bowl odds

Odds: +1000 (bet $100 to win $1,000)

The last team to repeat as Super Bowl champions was the Patriots in 2004 and 2005. It’s not easy to do, given the parity this league experiences every year – in part thanks to the salary cap.

But for the Rams, winning it all again is a very real possibility. Despite the  offseason losses, the core of the team is still intact with Stafford, WR Cooper Kupp, DT Aaron Donald and CB Jalen Ramsey, which gives them as good a chance to win the Super Bowl as any.

Add in the fact Stafford should improve in Year 2 with the Rams, and the additions of Robinson and Wagner, and the Rams might just be better than they were in 2021 – at least during the regular season.

The RAMS (+1000) are definitely worth a wager, even if it’s a small one.

Los Angeles Rams’ 2022 playoff odds

Will Rams make the playoffs: Yes -250 | No +200

The Rams have only missed the playoffs once in the last 4 years, and they’ve won the division 3 times in that span. They weren’t far out of the picture in 2019, either, when they went 9-7 and missed the postseason by a game.

There are some favorable games to go with more challenging ones on the Rams’ schedule, which will lead to another playoff appearance for McVay’s team. That being said, at -250, I’d PASS and instead bet on them to win the division.

Odds to win NFC West Division

  • Los Angeles Rams +135 (bet $100 to win $135)
  • San Francisco 49ers +175 (bet $100 to win $175)
  • Arizona Cardinals +320 (bet $100 to win $320)
  • Seattle Seahawks +1300 (bet $100 to win $1,300)

It shouldn’t surprise anyone that the Rams are the favorites to win the NFC West again. They’ve finished first in the division 3 times since 2017 and have the most stable roster entering 2022.

The Seahawks are without Russell Wilson, the Cardinals have drama with Kyler Murray and lost DeAndre Hopkins for 6 games, and the 49ers still haven’t said who their quarterback will be. The RAMS (+135) are a good bet to win the division again.

Odds to win NFC

Odds: +425 (bet $100 to win $425)

The Bucs are the favorites in the NFC, strictly because of QB Tom Brady’s return. And while he’s definitely a difference-maker, the Rams have beaten Tampa Bay each of the last 3 meetings since 2020.

If the NFC does come down to Rams vs. Bucs, I like L.A. Bet the RAMS (+425) with a small wager to win the conference and represent the NFC in the Super Bowl.

2022 San Francisco 49ers’ win total, Super Bowl, conference and division odds

Analyzing 2022 NFL futures for the San Francisco 49ers, including odds for win total, Super Bowl and division with expert picks.

The San Francisco 49ers made it to the NFC Championship Game this last season as 1 of 3 teams in the NFC West to make the postseason. They eye another trip to the playoffs with second-year QB Trey Lance expected to lead the way as their starting quarterback in 2022.

Below, we look at the San Francisco 49ers 2022 NFL futures odds – including win total, division, conference and Super Bowl odds at Tipico Sportsbook – with best bet suggestions among our NFL picks and predictions.

The 49ers saw several starters depart in free agency this offseason — RB Raheem Mostert, OL Laken Tomlinson, DT D.J. Jones and CB K’Waun Williams.

They added CB Charvarius Ward and S George Odum as their most notable signings in free agency and then DE Drake Jackson in the NFL draft.

San Francisco 49ers’ 2022 win total: Best bet

Odds provided by Tipico Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated Tuesday, May 17 at 8:35 a.m. ET.

Over/Under: 9.5 (O: -150 | U: +125)

The 49ers won 10 games last season. They lost several starters and are moving on from QB Jimmy Garoppolo as they appear poised to turn to second-year QB Trey Lance to run the offense.

Coach Kyle Shanahan is 39-42 leading the 49ers. Garoppolo is 31-14 as a starter for the 49ers, which means Shanahan is 8-28 when he has someone other than Garoppolo starting.

Is Lance already ready to lead a playoff-contending team? That is the question.

I would not put money on the Over. I consider passing on this but I LEAN UNDER 9.5 WINS (+125).

San Francisco 49ers’ 2022 Super Bowl odds

Odds: +1500 (bet $100 to win $1,500)

The 49ers are firmly considered a contender for the Super Bowl following their run to the conference championship. Only 5 teams have shorter odds. The favorites to win the Super Bowl this next season are the Buffalo Bills (+600) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+700).

The Houston Texans have the longest odds at +20000.

At +1500, San Francisco has an implied probability of winning the Super Bowl of 6.25% or 15/1 fractional odds.

Conventional wisdom says that makes them worth at least a small wager to win it all. However, citing the 8-28 record the 49ers have since Shanahan became head coach when anyone other than Garoppolo starts, that isn’t a wager you can confidently make with Lance as the starter. This is not like Patrick Mahomes coming in as the starter for the Chiefs in his second season. He was a much more accomplished player than Lance was coming out of college.

PASS.

San Francisco 49ers’ 2022 playoff odds

Will 49ers make the playoffs: Yes -220 | No +175

San Francisco was one of the 3 wild card teams last season and did make it to the NFC Championship Game before losing to the eventual Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams.

The odds suggest overwhelming optimism they will return to the postseason. The price makes it such that it isn’t worth it to bet on them making it.

However, the price for the 49ers not making the playoffs is tempting.

You look at the losses they had in free agency and their history without Garoppolo as their start and you wonder why the odds are what they are. The teams expected to win their respective divisions are the Rams, Bucs, Packers and Cowboys. After them, the wild-card race really is wide open.

Unless Lance is much better than he was a season ago, you have to really look hard at them missing the playoffs. I LEAN 49ERS DO NOT MAKE THE PLAYOFFS (+175).

Odds to win NFC West Division

  • Los Angeles Rams +135 (bet $100 to win $135)
  • San Francisco 49ers +175 (bet $100 to win $175)
  • Arizona Cardinals +320 (best $100 to win $320)
  • Seattle Seahawks +1300 (bet $100 to win $1,300)

The 49ers are viewed as legitimate contenders for the NFC West title. The champion Rams with Matthew Stafford at quarterback and 3 stars leading the defense in Aaron Donald, Jalen Ramsey and Bobby Wagner are +135, while the 49ers are +175 with an unproven and largely untested young quarterback.

I am not optimistic. PASS.

Odds to win NFC

Odds: +650 (bet $100 to win $650)

Again, there are high hopes for the 49ers as only the Buccaneers, Rams and Packers have shorter odds. Their quarterbacks are Tom Brady, Stafford and Aaron Rodgers.

Do we really think that Lance will lead the 49ers over those teams and quarterbacks?

PASS.

2022 Seattle Seahawks’ win total, Super Bowl, conference and division odds

Analyzing 2022 NFL futures for the Seattle Seahawks, including odds for win total, Super Bowl and division with expert picks.

The Seattle Seahawks begin a new era without quarterback Russell Wilson, whom they traded to the Denver Broncos this offseason after posting the first losing season since 2011 and missing the playoffs for only the second time since Wilson entered the league. What comes next in 2022 is perhaps a rebuild. Below, we look at the Seattle Seahawks’ 2022 NFL futures odds – including win total, division, conference and Super Bowl odds at Tipico Sportsbook – with best bet suggestions among our NFL picks and predictions.

In addition to trading Wilson, the Seahawks also released LB Bobby Wagner after 10 seasons with the team. Three starting offensive linemen — Duane Brown, Ethan Pocic and Jamarco Jones — will not return as free agents. TE Gerald Everett and CB D.J. Reed both departed in free agency. They still have WR DK Metcalf, who had 75 catches for 967 yards and 12 touchdowns in a “down season.”

They acquired QB Drew Lock in the Wilson trade and re-signed QB Geno Smith. DT Shelby Harris and TE Noah Fant came over in the trade. They re-signed S Quandre Diggs and RB Rashaad Penny, and they signed free agents CB Artie Burns, CB Justin Coleman and DL Quinton Jefferson.

In the NFL draft, they selected OT Charles Cross in the first round and added DE Boye Mafe, RB Kenneth Walker III and OL Abraham Lucas on Day 2 of the draft.

Seattle Seahawks’ 2022 win total: Best bet

Odds provided by Tipico Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated Tuesday, May 17 at 7:45 a.m. ET.

Over/Under: 5.5 (O: +115 | U: -140)

The Seahawks have not had fewer than 7 wins in any season since Pete Carroll became Seattle’s head coach. Lock went 4-9 as a starter in 2020, and Smith went 1-2 starting last season when Wilson was injured.

Seattle doesn’t appear to be going for a full rebuild, and even though they appear to be the weakest link in the NFC West, they still have games against the Giants, Jets, Panthers, Falcons and Lions, all of which are winnable games. They will sneak a game or two in the division, so they are likely looking at six or seven games.

Bet OVER 5.5 (+115).

Seattle Seahawks’ 2022 Super Bowl odds

Odds: +10000 (bet $100 to win $10,000)

The Seahawks are long shots. They are tied with the Atlanta Falcons, Chicago Bears, New York Giants, New York Jets, Detroit Lions and Jacksonville Jaguars for the second-longest championship odds in the NFL. The Houston Texans have the longest odds at +20000 and the only team with longer odds.

The favorites to win the Super Bowl this next season are the Buffalo Bills (+600) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+700).

At +10000, Seattle has an implied probability of winning the Super Bowl of 0.99% or 100/1 fractional odds.

Nope, run far from this bet. If they are riding with Lock or Smith at quarterback, the chances of being a .500 team are slim, much less win a championship.

PASS.

Seattle Seahawks’ 2022 playoff odds

Will Seahawks make the playoffs: Yes +450 | No -649

The Seahawks are clearly the worst team in terms of talent on the roster in the NFC West. They don’t have a proven starting quarterback. They lost their defensive leader and their best cover corner. They don’t have a consistent pass rush.

They aren’t making the playoffs, but at these odds for no, it isn’t worth a wager. They have 86.65% implied odds of not making the playoffs.

PASS.

Odds to win NFC West Division

  • Los Angeles Rams +135 (bet $100 to win $135)
  • San Francisco 49ers +175 (bet $100 to win $175)
  • Arizona Cardinals +320 (best $100 to win $320)
  • Seattle Seahawks +1300 (bet $100 to win $1,300)

The Seahawks finished last in the division last year, and that was with Wilson at quarterback. Their implied probability of winning the division is 7.14%. The Rams understandably are the favorites to win the division, and both the Cardinals and 49ers could contend, but unless Seattle does something else at quarterback, they have no shot. PASS.

Odds to win NFC

Odds: +5000 (bet $100 to win $5,000)

The Seahawks are tied with the Lions, Bears and Falcons for the longest odds in the conference to win the conference. Their implied odds of winning the conference are 1.96%. If they aren’t going to make the playoffs, they certainly can’t win the conference. PASS.

2022 Chicago Bears’ win total, Super Bowl, conference and division odds

Analyzing 2022 NFL futures for the Chicago Bears, including odds for win total, Super Bowl and division with expert picks.

The Chicago Bears selected who they hope is their franchise quarterback, Justin Fields, in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft. He captained the way for much of 2021, which resulted in a 6-11 record.

The Bears finished third in their division. Chicago went without a first-round pick but did add Washington CB Kyler Gordon in the second round. The Bears No. 1 wide receiver, Allen Robinson, inked a deal with the Los Angeles Rams, leaving the Bears’ receiving corps thin.

The Chicago Bears haven’t won the NFC North since 2018 and have been to the playoffs 2 of the past 4 seasons, but they haven’t won a Super Bowl since 1985.

Below, we look at the Chicago Bears’ 2022 NFL futures odds – including win total, division, conference and Super Bowl odds at Tipico Sportsbook – with best bet suggestions among our NFL picks and predictions.

Chicago Bears’ 2022 schedule

Chicago Bears’ 2022 win total: Best bet

Odds provided by Tipico Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated Tuesday, May 17 at 7:30 a.m. ET.

Over/Under: 6.5 (O: -145 | U: +115)

Fields is going to improve, but he was just 2-8 as a starter last season. On top of still being young, Fields lost his best weapon and the Bears failed to replace Robinson’s production.

The Bears defense didn’t do much to improve after ranking 22nd in points allowed last season.

Chicago took a step back offensively and will be dependent on Fields, who completed under 60% of his attempts and didn’t perform convincingly well as a starter.

Pro Football Focus graded the Bears’ free agency a C and their draft a B-. Overall, they were dubbed an “average.” That should shine through, and it’s likely they struggle early and often.

For the plus-money value, BACK BEARS UNDER 6.5 (+115).

Chicago Bears’ 2022 Super Bowl odds

Odds: +10000 (bet $100 to win $10,000)

Chicago is tied for the second-longest odds to win it all. The Buffalo Bills (+600) are the favorites, followed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+700).

At +10000, Chicago has an implied probability of winning the Super Bowl of 1% or 100/1 fractional odds. The Houston Texans have the longest odds at +20000.

I would look elsewhere to find value on Chicago than the BEARS (+10000) to win the Super Bowl. PASS.

Chicago Bears’ 2022 playoff odds

Will Bears make the playoffs: Yes +300 | No -400

As you can tell, backing the Bears isn’t in my forte.

However, Fields has potential, and his dual-threat ability could help  Chicago take off this season. While that feels doubtfully, betting on the Bears to miss the playoffs at -400 isn’t nearly worth the value.

The NFC isn’t as deep as the AFC, and teams like Seattle and Arizona could take a step back. With that in mind, the Bears could take a run, but at +300, it’s still wise to PASS here.

Odds to win NFC North Division

  • Chicago Bears +900 (bet $100 to win $900)
  • Detroit Lions +1000 (bet $100 to win $1,000)
  • Green Bay Packers -180 (bet $180 to win $100)
  • Minnesota Vikings +270 (bet $100 to win $270)

Chicago’s implied probability of winning the NFC North is 10% or 9/1 fractional odds.

The Packers are the only threat here, and there’s no chance to take a shot at the Bears or Lions to beat out the Aaron Rodgers-led Packers or Dalvin Cook-led Vikings.

Odds to win NFC

Odds: +5000 (bet $100 to win $450)

The Bears’ offense won’t be able to keep up with either divisional foe, and it doesn’t seem likely that they’d be able to keep pace with the likes of the Rams or Bucs either. Their defense should again be average as well.

This is a PASS.

2022 Detroit Lions’ win total, Super Bowl, conference and division odds

Analyzing 2022 NFL futures for the Detroit Lions, including odds for win total, Super Bowl and division with expert picks.

With new QB Jared Goff, the Detroit Lions kicked off 2021 with 8 straight losses. They Lions tied their next game and lost 2 more before finally getting a victory in their 12th game of the season. They did finish 3-13-1, winning 3 of their last 6.

Below, we look at the Detroit Lions’ 2022 NFL futures odds – including win total, division, conference and Super Bowl odds at Tipico Sportsbook – with best bet suggestions among our NFL picks and predictions.

The Lions had 2 first-round picks in the recent NFL Draft. They selected Michigan DE Aidan Hutchinson with the second-overall pick and Alabama WR Jameson Williams at No. 12.

With 2020 third-overall pick CB Jeff Okudah (Ohio State) back as well, the trio should help Detroit improve upon their recent 3-win season.

Detroit has never won the NFC North and hasn’t won a division title since 1993 when they were in the NFC Central. They last made the playoffs 6 seasons ago in 2016-17.

Over/Under: 6.5 (O: +125 | U: -160)

The Lions lost 6 one-score games last season. Considering the improved weapons they’ll have both defensively and offensively, Goff is going to have all he needs to succeed.

The offensive line should be capable behind 2021 first-round pick T Penei Sewell (7th overall out of Oregon). Their defense will get a much-needed boost from Okudah and Hutchinson, hopefully improving upon their 31st-most points given up last season.

Couple the two together, and I like Detroit to manage 7 wins, especially at plus-money value. Also, the Lions have the fifth-easiest schedule. They should be able to win some close games.

Given how hard they played last season when clearly out of the playoff picture should give bettors hope that even if they start off poorly this ticket could be cashed.

For a small wager, BACK LIONS OVER 6.5 WINS (+125).

Detroit Lions’ 2022 Super Bowl odds

Odds: +10000 (bet $100 to win $10,000)

Detroit is tied with the second-longest odds to win it all. The Bills (+600) are the favorites, followed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+700).

At +10000, Detroit has an implied probability of winning the Super Bowl of 0.99% or 100/1 fractional odds. The Houston Texans have the longest odds at +20000.

I would not suggest backing the Lions (+10000) to win the Super Bowl.

Detroit Lions’ 2022 playoff odds

Will Lions make the playoffs: Yes +425 | No -599

The NFC may not be quite at the level of the AFC, but predicting the Lions to make a run is relatively ludicrous. However, I like the foundation they’re building, and they have a solid core.

The +425 payout just isn’t quite enough for me to take a gamble, especially as teams like the Vikings, Arizona Cardinals, and Eagles will also be making a run for those 3 Wild Card spots.

Odds to win NFC North Division

  • Chicago Bears +900 (bet $100 to win $900)
  • Detroit Lions +1000 (bet $100 to win $1,000)
  • Green Bay Packers -180 (bet $180 to win $100)
  • Minnesota Vikings +270 (bet $100 to win $270)

Detroit’s implied probability of winning the NFC North is 9.09% or 10/1 fractional odds. The Packers and then Vikings are the only threats here, and no one else will likely come too close.

PASS.

Odds to win NFC

Odds: +5000 (bet $100 to win $5000)

The Lions aren’t expected to have much a chance, and for this team, it’s still a bit earlier to predict Detroit could make a dark-horse run.

I would PASS here and check back in for this roster to have some potential to make a run in a few seasons as WRs Amon-Ra St. Brown and Williams continue to and also start to find their footing in the NFL.

PASS on the Lions (+5000) to win the NFC.

2022 Tennessee Titans’ win total, Super Bowl, conference and division odds

Analyzing 2022 NFL futures for the Tennessee Titans, including odds for win total, Super Bowl and division with expert picks.

A year ago, the Tennessee Titans entered the playoffs as the No. 1 seed in the AFC playoffs. After trading WR A.J. Brown this offseason, the Titans aren’t even favored to win the weak AFC South. What a difference an offseason makes.

Below, we look at the Tennessee Titans 2022 NFL futures odds – including win total, division, conference and Super Bowl odds at Tipico Sportsbook – with best bet suggestions among our NFL picks and predictions.

The Titans lost 13 free agents off of last year’s team and added just 4 — WR Robert Woods, OT Jamarco Jones, CB A.J. Moore and backup RB Trenton Cannon. With a very different looking roster, the Titans are in a rebuild mode after posting the best record in the conference. They couldn’t find a way to keep the band together and it will hurt their chemistry.

The Titans went heavy on offense in the draft, selecting 5 offensive players with their first 6 picks. WR Treylon Burks was taken in the first round to go along with Woods and Julio Jones and Liberty QB Malik Willis fell all the way to them in the third round. Ryan Tannehill still has 2 years left on his deal, so Willis will be given time to make the transition before being thrown into the fire.

Tennessee Titans’ 2022 win total: Best bet

Odds provided by Tipico Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated Monday, May 16 at 12:55 p.m. ET.

Over/Under: 9.5 (O: +115 | U: -140)

This is a tough one because when you look game by game, the Titans have the classic look of 9-8 team. However, when factoring in an Over/Under for either the Titans or Colts, you have to take into account that Houston and Jacksonville have 2 of the weakest rosters in the league. I see that as 4 wins to start your analysis. What that means is for the Titans not to hit the Over, they must go 5-8 in their other 13 games and I have a hard time seeing that happening if Derrick Henry is back and controlling the tempo of games.

Clearly the oddsmakers are favoring the Under, but coach Mike Vrabel‘s team has won 23 games the last 2 seasons and have never had a losing record on his watch. That’s something few coaches entering their 5th year can say.

TAKE THE TITANS AND THE OVER (+115)

Tennessee Titans’ 2022 Super Bowl odds

Odds: +3000 (bet $100 to win $3,000)

The Titans dominated much of last season. Posting wins over the Chiefs, Bills, Rams and 49ers proved that, when healthy, the Titans can hang with anybody. However, the AFC is stacked and most of the elite teams made themselves better. The Titans didn’t, losing many more players than they signed and trading Brown took a massive piece out of their offense. They may well make it out of the AFC South, but this isn’t a team built for a long playoff run as it is currently constructed. PASS.

Tennessee Titans’ 2022 playoff odds

Will Titans make the playoffs: Yes -110 | No -110

Given the 4 wins I project them to have against the Texans and Jaguars, I have the Titans on a record of 10-7. That could be enough to win the AFC South, but is very much in the realm of locking down a wild-card spot if they don’t fend off the Colts for the division title. Ten-win teams occasionally miss the playoffs, but it isn’t very often.

THE TITANS MAKE THE PLAYOFFS (-110)

Odds to win AFC South Division

  • Houston Texans +2000 (bet $100 to win $2,000)
  • Indianapolis Colts +100 (bet $100 to win $100)
  • Jacksonville Jaguars +600 (bet $100 to win $600)
  • Tennessee Titans +135 (bet $100 to win $135)

The Titans have won the AFC South the last two seasons. Many people point to the Colts collapse against the Jaguars in Week 18 as the reason Indy didn’t make the playoffs. While that was the final game of the season, being swept by the Titans is the real reason the Colts were on the outside looking in.

Indianapolis improved itself more than the Titans in the offseason, but the formula for beating the Colts was pounding Henry 25 times a game and swarming the opposing QB with their strong pass rush. Until the Colts prove they can handle the Titans in the trenches, it’s hard to bet against Tennessee holding on their perch atop the AFC South.

TAKE THE TITANS TO WIN THE AFC SOUTH (+135)

Odds to win AFC

Odds: +1500 (bet $100 to win $1,500)

Tennessee had all possible advantages in their favor last year in the playoffs, earning a bye and forcing opponents to come into their house to end their dream season — which is what Cincinnati did in Tennessee’s first playoff game. In the AFC, I see the Titans behind Buffalo, Kansas City, Cincinnati and Los Angeles at a minimum and quite possibly Indianapolis, Baltimore, Denver and New England. That’s way too many teams to expect some sort of magical run in January. PASS.

2022 New England Patriots’ win total, Super Bowl, conference and division odds

Analyzing 2022 NFL futures for the New England Patriots, including odds for win total, Super Bowl and division with expert picks.

The New England Patriots were one of the darlings of the NFL last season, as coach Bill Belichick proved he could win with a rookie QB who wasn’t among the top guys taken and brought the Patriots back to the playoffs.

Below, we look at the New England Patriots 2022 NFL futures odds – including win total, division, conference and Super Bowl odds at Tipico Sportsbook – with best bet suggestions among our NFL picks and predictions.

Last year, New England broke tradition and spent heavily in free agency to bring in high-end outside talent, especially on defense. The result was that the Patriots had the league’s fourth-ranked defense.

This time around, there were many more losses than gains. The team brought in WR DeVante Parker, CB Terrance Mitchell and RB Ty Montgomery, but lost CB J.C. Jackson, guards Shaquille Mason and Ted Karras, DE Kyle Van Noy, DT Chase Winovich and versatile RB Brandon Bolden. All things considered, not a fair trade.

New England Patriots’ 2022 win total: Best bet

Odds provided by Tipico Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated Monday, May 16 at 9:20 a.m. ET.

Over/Under: 8.5 (O: -110 | U: -110)

This is a tough number because the Patriots are facing a daunting schedule that has only one patch where you can envision them stacking up wins, but the team won 10 games last year with rookie QB Mac Jones, who seemed to absorb Bill Belichick‘s scheme better than the rest of the star-studded 2021 QB draft class.

With another offseason to pick up more, the Patriots aren’t worse off than they were coming into last year. I see this team as being a middle-of-the-road 9-8 or 8-9 team, but I’ve learned over the years not to underestimate  Belichick. I’ll take my chances with 9 wins.

TAKE THE NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS AND THE OVER (-115)

New England Patriots’ 2022 Super Bowl odds

Odds: +4000 (bet $100 to win $4,000)

What the Patriots accomplished last year was nothing short of miraculous. The other franchises that invested in rookie quarterbacks got little to nothing to show for it in 2021. Jones and the Patriots won 10 games and won some where it was obvious that the scheme and the game plan was the reason.

It should be noted the Patriots made a quick playoff exit, because they were an overachieving team last year that played consistent defense and game-managed offense. That may get them in contention for the playoffs again, but this team isn’t a Super Bowl team. PASS.

New England Patriots’ 2022 playoff odds

Will Patriots make the playoffs: Yes +150 | No -180

Unlike the Bills and Dolphins, the Patriots haven’t done anything to make themselves better this offseason than they were in 2021. Both of those division rivals bolstered their forces and the Jets even made significant improvement with solid drafting that included multiple early picks.

While the Pats are a team capable of finishing 9-8 or 10-7, I lean more toward the 9-8 and that doesn’t get a team into the playoffs as competitive as the AFC is going to be this year. It will take a minimum of 10 wins to make it.

TAKE THE NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS NOT TO MAKE THE PLAYOFFS (-170)

Odds to win AFC East Division

  • Buffalo Bills -220 (bet $220 to win $100)
  • Miami Dolphins +400 (bet $100 to win $400)
  • New England Patriots +450 (bet $100 to win $450)
  • New York Jets +2000 (bet $100 to win $2,000)

If I was to go against my gut instinct, it would be to place a small wager at +450 and bank that Josh Allen’s reckless style gets him injured and opens up the field for New England and Miami to make a run at the division. Since it hasn’t happened yet and Allen doesn’t have much tread off the tires, that’s a hard premise to justify with any empirical data, so going that route is more like flipping a coin and not making a bet based on hunch more than anything else. PASS.

Odds to win AFC

Odds: +2000 (bet $100 to win $2,000)

The odds tell it all here. According to Tipico Sportsbook, the betting lines tell you the Patriots should finish third in their division. The odds of making the playoffs are tough when there are only 3 wild card spots available and 1 of them is already accounted for in your own division. Even if the Patriots make the playoffs, they aren’t a team built to come back from double-digit deficits and all it takes is one of those in the playoffs to end a season. PASS.
