The toughest teams on the Vikings’ schedule for 2021

See the toughest teams on the Minnesota Vikings’ schedule for the 2021 NFL season.

The Vikings have a tough road ahead if the team wants to bounce back from a disappointing season. This past season, the team finished 7-9 after a 1-5 start.

Minnesota has the fifth-toughest 2021 schedule in terms of winning percentage from 2020. That means that the Vikings are playing a lot of teams that were good this past season. Mix in a few teams that look primed for progression, and the Vikings may have a hard time salvaging the season.

In honor of the NFL schedule being released on Wednesday night of this week, here are the best teams on Minnesota’s schedule right now:

Eagles’ injury woes could be linked to the NFL’s scheduling imbalance

Eagles injury woes over the past few years could be linked to scheduling imbalance

As we sit less than 24 hours away from the release of the 2021 NFL schedule, the impact of travel and a lack of rest on teams can be directly linked to an imbalance in the entire process.

Warren Sharp of NBC Edge used some research and conversations with coaches and front office personnel from multiple teams to uncover “significant” NFL schedule inequality, with the Eagles being among the teams impacted the most.

Only the Giants seem to be at more of a disadvantage than Philadelphia, while the rival Cowboys are among teams benefiting the most.

According to Sharp, the Eagles (15), land behind Washington and the Giants in the number of road games played on a short week over the past few years.

Report: Bills could play Jaguars in London

Buffalo Bills 2021 schedule rumor says team could face Jacksonville Jaguars in London.

The Bills will play against both teams who are reportedly going to host games overseas in 2021, however, only one of those teams is a candidate for the Bills to face outside of the United States.

According to The Athletic on Tuesday, the Jaguars and Falcons will both host games in London next season. In 2020, the NFL took the year off from leaving the country due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

While Mexico City was an option, London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is the lone site for these two international games because the U.K. has the COVID-19 pandemic “more under control,” per the report.

So now onto the Bills.

The Falcons and Jaguars are both upcoming opponents in 2021, but Atlanta will travel to Buffalo. The Jaguars are one of the Bills’ road opponents, so of the two teams, only Jacksonville is a candidate for the Bills to face across the pond.

The NFL is set to release Buffalo’s full schedule on Wednesday, along with the rest of the teams in the league.

Previously the Bills have traveled to London for action… and have done so against the Jaguars. In 2015, the Jags held off a comeback effort from EJ Manuel and the Bills in a 34-31 game.

Report: Falcons to host game in London in 2021

Atlanta Falcons will host a game in London in 2021.

The Atlanta Falcons will host a game in a home away from home during the 2021 NFL season.

According to The Athletic, the Falcons will be the home club in an international game in 2021 in London:

It was previously reported by the team in April that the Falcons did plan on traveling overseas to host a game next season. However, the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has still loomed large so things remained uncertain until the Falcons’ official 2021 schedule is released.

The NFL is set to release their full schedule on Wednesday, along with the rest of the teams in the league.

The Falcons first traveled to London for a game against the Lions in 2014. That contest was held at Wembley Stadium. The 2021 matchup will be located at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Home opponents on the Falcons’ 2021 schedule include divisional rivals Carolina Panthers, New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, as well as the Detroit Lions, New England Patriots, New York Jets, Philadelphia Eagles and the Washington Football Team.

Cal McNair excited for Houston Texans 2021 schedule release

Houston Texans chairman and CEO Cal McNair is looking forward to the release of the 2021 NFL schedule.

Houston Texans chairman and CEO Cal McNair has great anticipation as the 2021 schedule is about to be released.

The NFL will release the schedule for all 32 teams on May 12 at 7:00 p.m. Central Time. The Texans already know their opponents for 17 games and even where they will meet. The last question to be revealed is when.

“I’m excited for the schedule release,” McNair told reporters at the Texans’ 18th annual charity golf classic. “I think it’s Wednesday — Wednesday evening. That’s always a fun time. Then your friends plan their trips to go see a game they want to go see. There’s a lot of excitement around that. So, that’ll be a lot of fun later this week.”

In addition to their two-game series with each of their three AFC South foes, the Texans will play the NFC West and the AFC East this season. Their 17th game is another inter-conference matchup as the Texans take on the Carolina Panthers.

Eagles schedule news: Raiders to unveil nightclub in the end zone at Allegiant Stadium

The Eagles will travel to Las Vegas to face the Raiders during the 2021 season and fans will now be able to enjoy a Wynn Resort nightclub experience.

We’re a little over 24 hours away from the NFL’s 2021 schedule release and as fans around the country start to plan out road trips, the battle against the Raiders in Las Vegas just got a little more interesting.

According to Darren Rovell and Billboard, Wynn Resorts is partnering with the Raiders to create the Wynn Field Club, which will span the entire length of the north end zone and bring Las Vegas’ vibrant nightlife scene to a unique environment.

“[At] Wynn Field Club, ticketed guests will be able to enjoy a stadium experience that is one-of-a-kind in the sports and entertainment capital of the world,” says Brandon Doll, the Raiders senior vice president, strategy and business development. “Wynn Field Club offers an upgraded high-energy nightlife experience in the center of the action. The nearly 11,000 square foot venue will feature over-the-top access that can only be found in Las Vegas.”

For Eagles fans looking to chill and not takeover Allegiant Stadium, Wynn executives say the field club will have a private entrance, 42 televisions, a 9-foot by 35-foot LED screen, a 45,000-watt sound system, and two DJ booths.

NFL Schedule: 5 Bills games that could be played in prime time this season

Buffalo Bills 2021 NFL schedule prime-time game candidates.

The Bills hit the ground running in 2020. Not just on the football field, but a year ago Buffalo had four prime-time games handed to them by the NFL when the schedule was released.

After the uber-successful season that ensued, could the Bills be lined up for even more prime-time matchups in 2021?

With the NFL schedule release slated for this Wednesday, here are five possible candidates for the Bills:

2 Bills games land on list of top-10 matchups in 2021

Buffalo Bills land on NFL.com list of top-10 games of 2021.

The Bills play both teams from last year’s Super Bowl in 2021, the Chiefs and Buccaneers.

At one point in time, that would’ve been considered an unlucky turn of events and a daunting tasking for the Bills.

Not anymore.

Instead, it’s game on.

NFL.com put together a list of their top-10 matchups en route during the 2021 season. Both of the Bills’ meetings with last year’s conference champs are listed:

The Bills’ matchup at the Bucs slots in at No. 7:

If the Bills are looking for a test of their true ability — one that doesn’t have “KC” on its helmet — they’ll receive one in the form of the defending champions. After losing by two touchdowns to the Chiefs in the AFC title game, Buffalo sat at home and watched the team that just defeated them get its doors blown off in the Super Bowl. The team that delivered the beatdown is on Buffalo’s schedule this season. It’s time to see how the surging Bills stack up.

Buffalo won’t be meeting a complete stranger in this game, either. Tom Brady single-handedly ruined Western New York’s hopes for two decades, save for a stray upset win with Drew Bledsoe at the controls, and it’s about time a strong Bills team attempts to avenge its many losses at the hands of the greatest of all time. Tampa Bay, meanwhile, gets a chance to further prove its supremacy by taking on the AFC’s runner-up a year after dominating its champion.

While the Bills’ visit to the Chiefs landed at No. 3:

Last season’s AFC Championship Game got off to a promising — if not stunning — start before Kansas City’s offense woke up and removed any real intrigue. It was a disappointing end to what was initially billed a high-flying conference title game between the reigning champions and perhaps the only AFC team equipped to keep pace with them.

Instead, it was largely a flop. But after an offseason in which the Bills quietly added in areas of need and the Chiefs impressively revamped their offensive line, this rematch of two top-tier squads could give us a much more entertaining showdown, set to once again take place at Arrowhead. Can Josh Allen outduel Patrick Mahomes? Will we get more defensive resistance from the Bills this time around? Might this be a key result that could sway the conference’s seeding? Check back in for the answers this fall.

Unfortunately, neither of these contests are in Buffalo. Still, the Bills might have all eyes on them in 2021 after a breakout season last year. Now what remains to be seen is where these games will fall on the schedule.

The NFL is slated to release the schedule this week. While we know opponents, we’ll get times and dates then. One of these two Bills matchups from the list might even be in contention for the NFL’s Thursday Night Football season opener. That’d be some way to start the year.

Overall on the NFL.com list, the Bucs visiting the Patriots slots in at No. 2 while the top game selected is the Packers vs. Chiefs.
