Here’s a look at the players that won’t be suiting up for the Bears when they face the Saints on Sunday.

The Chicago Bears released their list of inactives ahead of today’s game against the New Orleans Saints, and it’s bad news for the Bears

Chicago will be without linebacker Roquan Smith (elbow) and receiver Darnell Mooney (ankle), as both were ruled out on Saturday. But they’ll also be without cornerback Jaylon Johnson (shoulder) for the fourth straight game, which leaves them even more vulnerable in the secondary.

Here’s a look at the players that won’t be suiting up for the Bears:

WATCH: Akiem Hicks will get you hyped up for Bears’ playoff game vs. Saints

Beating the Saints will be a challenge for the Bears. But Chicago has faced plenty of challenges this year, and they’re up for the task.

Against all odds, the Chicago Bears have made their way back to the postseason. They face the daunting task of defeating a red-hot New Orleans Saints team that is getting back two of its biggest playmakers in running back Alvin Kamara and receiver Michael Thomas.

While no one is giving the Bears a chance against the Saints, we’ve all seen that anything can happen in the playoffs. Even with Chicago’s defense regressing from earlier this season. Even with the Bears offense coming back down to Earth after an unimpressive performance.

It’ll certainly be a challenge, but the Bears have faced plenty of challenges this year, and they’re up for the task.

Not convinced? Let Bears defensive tackle Akiem Hicks get you hyped for Sunday’s wild-card match-up against the Saints, where they’re not backing down from another challenge.

The Bears and Saints kick things off at 3:40 p.m. CT on CBS, Nickelodeon and Amazon Prime.

Bears downgrade LB Roquan Smith, WR Darnell Mooney to out vs. Saints

The Chicago Bears will be without two key starters when they face the New Orleans Saints in a wild-card showdown on Sunday.

Inside linebacker Roquan Smith (elbow) and receiver Darnell Mooney (ankle) have been downgraded to out after previously been ruled questionable. After suffering injuries against the Green Bay Packers in Week 17, both did not practice all week.

The Bears made corresponding roster moves as a result. Chicago activated defensive back Marqui Christian and linebacker Manti Te’o to the active roster from the practice squad.

8 impact players to watch in Bears’ wild-card game vs. Saints

The Bears are looking to shock the world with a win over the Saints. Here are 8 players to keep an eye on during Sunday’s wild-card game.

The Chicago Bears will be playing playoff football for the second time in three years. But to avoid their second one-and-done postseason, they’re going to need to play their best game against the No. 2-seeded New Orleans Saints.

For the Bears to pull off the ultimate upset of wild-card weekend, they’re going to need some big-time contributions from some of their biggest players.

Here are eight players to keep an eye on as the Bears face the Saints in the wild-card round.

The Bears had the most difficult schedule among playoff teams

Chicago’s path to the playoffs was more difficult than any other team, as they had the hardest strength of schedule among playoff teams.

It might seem like an entire season ago, but there was a time when the Chicago Bears were the top seed in the NFC at 5-1. One of the complaints was that the Bears were playing a relatively easy schedule. While it’s true they were beating bad teams — as they should’ve been doing — when all was said and done, they ultimately played one of the most difficult schedules in the NFL.

The Bears had the hardest strength of schedule of any postseason team, according to Football Outsiders. Chicago had the ninth most-difficult schedule, which ranked just ahead of the Los Angeles Rams (10th) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (11th).

Obviously the caveat is that the Bears beat just one team with a winning record this season, which was the Tampa Bay Buccaneers back in Week 5. They posted six losses to teams with winning records, including four playoff teams in the Green Bay Packers, Los Angeles Rams Indianapolis Colts, Tennessee Titans and New Orleans Saints.

Chicago will look to reverse their misfortunes against winning teams on Sunday when they face New Orleans in the wild-card round.

Bears unveil uniform combination for wild-card game vs. Saints

The Bears will be wearing their signature road uniforms – white jerseys and navy pants – when they face the Saints in the wild-card round.

The Chicago Bears have unveiled their uniform combination for Sunday’s wild-card game against the New Orleans Saints, where Chicago will be looking to win their first playoff game in a decade.

The Bears will be wearing their signature road uniforms — white jerseys and navy pants.

It’s a combination they’ve worn eight times this season, where they’ve posted a 5-3 record with wins against the Detroit Lions, Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, Minnesota Vikings and Jacksonville Jaguars.

The 8-8 Bears are big underdogs against the 12-4 Saints, who have suffered their share of heartbreaking defeats in the postseason.

We’ll see if Chicago can execute all on phases to pull off the weekend’s biggest upset when the Bears and Saints kick things off Sunday at 3:40 p.m. CT on CBS, Nickelodeon and Amazon Prime.
