Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian is planning to play both quarterbacks against Kansas.
Neither Casey Thompson or Hudson Card have particularly played well recently, making the future of the quarterback position in Austin murky at best.
Throughout the first few weeks of the season, fans were debating which of the two quarterbacks were better fit to help the team win this season. After a four-game losing streak, it seems as if the arguments have shifted to whether or not either of them can take the Longhorns to the next level.
Earlier this week, Sarkisian mentioned that he would name a starting quarterback on Thursday. When that day approached, Sarkisian wasn’t ready to tell the media who would be taking the first snap against Kansas on Saturday.

The Longhorns are considered the heavy favorite over the Jayhawks in Week 11, and Kansas is home to one of the worst defensive units in the conference. This matchup should provide an ample opportunity for both quarterbacks to find some confidence and consistency in the passing game.
It’s possible that Texas will be without their top two running backs in Bijan Robinson and Roschon Johnson, so a solid showing from each quarterback is necessary.
