Social media reacts to Commanders’ putrid start vs. Giants

The best action from the first half occurred on social media.

Washington’s Week 7 game against the New York Giants was significant for multiple reasons. The Commanders were facing a beat-up Giants team without numerous starters on the offensive line and quarterback Daniel Jones.

Secondly, this was Washington’s chance to go on a run.

How would the Commanders respond?

Not good.

In Washington’s first five possessions, the Commanders went three-and-out four times, and quarterback Sam Howell was intercepted the other time. Predictably, Washington is behind 14-0.

While the offense is putrid, the defense hasn’t been any better, allowing close to 250 yards and counting in the first half.

The most entertaining part of the first half was on X — formerly Twitter — where Washington fans go to vent.

Here are some of the best reactions thus far.
