Social media reacts to Alabama students returning, partying

Alabama students have officially returned to campus in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and they’re making news on twitter… and not for good reasons.

University of Alabama students have officially returned to campus in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and they’re making news on twitter… and not for good reasons.

Alabama is one of the programs in the country doing whatever they can to keep the hopeful start of college football alive.

When the Big Ten and Pac 12 decided to cancel their fall football season, the SEC, ACC, and Big 12 made it clear that they’re planning on playing this fall.

With the hopeful start of college football season in just a few weeks, the conversation has resolved around how Universities can prevent the spread of the coronavirus, protect the athletes, and preserve the upcoming season.

It seems as though some Alabama students are not on the same page, and twitter has blown up with responses from students, fans, and even Alabama Athletic Director Greg Byrne himself on what was seen today in Tuscaloosa.

Alabama football center Chris Owens was one of the first to start the conversation.

He’s one of the many Alabama players doing whatever they can to play.

Students can be seen gathering together on the sidewalk on “The Strip,” without masks and without social distance.

Greg Byrne then asked, “Who wants college sports this fall?”

Alabama head coach Nick Saban’s daughter, Kristen Saban, also joined in on the matter:

She also tweeted these tweets:

Alabama will find out on Monday the schedule for this fall.

Let’s hope, at this point, there will still be a season this year.

Roll Tide will keep you up to date with the very latest!
