Texas landed a once-in-a-lifetime prospect on Friday.
Five-star quarterback Quinn Ewers has officially announced his commitment to the University of Texas. He’s the top overall player in the country out of the 2022 recruiting class, so you’d expect a wave of reactions from around the college football community.
Not only is he the top player in his particular class, Ewers is one of the highest rated prospects in history. A commitment of that nature will likely have a ripple effect on head coach Tom Herman’s recruiting trail.
According to 247Sports Composite, Ewers is the highest rated quarterback prospect that they’ve graded. At a perfect 1.0000 rating, only former Texas legend Vince Young has been comparable. Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence is listed shortly behind Ewers and Young with a 0.9999 grade.
