The Philadelphia 76ers remained home on Monday looking to bounce back from a tough double-overtime loss on Saturday. Their opponent on Monday came in the form of the Orlando Magic who are a young, rebuilding team missing a handful of their top players. It seemed like easy picking for the Sixers.
It looked as if it would be that way at the beginning of this one as Philadelphia built a 16-point lead. They were moving the ball, they were playing together on the defensive end, and the Magic had no answer. However, a big third quarter saw Orlando take the lead before Philadelphia recovered and escaped with a 101-96 win.
Seth Curry led the way with 24 points, Tobias Harris had 17 points and nine rebounds, Joel Embiid had 16 points, 12 rebounds, and five assists, and Andre Drummond had seven and 12 rebounds. Tyrese Maxey added nine, eight rebounds, and nine assists, and Georges Niang had eight.
