Sixers player grades: Joel Embiid, Seth Curry not enough in loss to Jazz

The Philadelphia 76ers got big performances out of Joel Embiid and Seth Curry, but they weren’t able to knock off the Utah Jazz.

The Philadelphia 76ers returned home on Thursday fresh off a 3-1 road trip and on a 3-game winning streak, but they ran into the offensive juggernaut that is the Utah Jazz and on the second night of a back-to-back, that is a tall task to ask of this team.

The Sixers were competitive in the early going as Joel Embiid was engaged and going at both Rudy Gobert and Hassan Whiteside and Seth Curry also played well, but the Jazz were just too much to handle. Utah used a big second half in order to knock off the Sixers 118-96 and put a halt to their winning streak.

Embiid led Philadelphia with 19 points and nine rebounds, Curry had 18 points and four assists, and Tobias Harris added 17 points and seven rebounds. Tyrese Maxey added 11 points, Matisse Thybulle had seven, and Shake Milton also added seven.
