The Philadelphia 76ers played another game without a key piece on Friday as they invaded State Farm Arena to take on the Atlanta Hawks. The Sixers found out that they would be missing Tobias Harris who missed the game to a non-COVID illness.
After a slow start where they found themselves down double digits in the second quarter and also in the fourth, the Sixers used a spirited second-half effort led by Joel Embiid in order to come away with a much-needed 98-96 victory. Embiid had 28 points and 11 rebounds to lead the way and Seth Curry had 18 points in support.
Georges Niang added 13 points in a start, Danny Green had 10 points, and Tyrese Maxey had 11 and 5 assists. Furkan Korkmaz had nine points and Andre Drummond added four and seven rebounds off the bench.
