Should the Bills sign Terrell Owens again since he’s still a beast? (video)

Video of wide receiver Terrell Owens running a 40-yard dash at 46-years-old.

OK, a bit of a cheeky headline, because it’s not going to happen. But this was too good to not share. Hall of Famer and former Buffalo Bills wide receiver Terrell Owens is currently two things we know for sure: First, he’s 46 years old. Next, this man is also a freak of nature… still.

Always known for his workout regiment during his career… Mostly because he, quite literally, did them in his front yard with the cameras on him, Owens is still clearly getting after it in the gym after a recent video surfaced.

Owens met up with former Bengals wideout Chad Johnson aka “Ochocinco” and current Chiefs’ No. 1 receiver Tyreek Hill. The retirees went head-to-head against Hill in the 40. Owens lost against his 26-year-old counterpart but somehow, he was not far behind.

Check out the video below. Hill is on the right while Owens is in the middle According to onlookers, Hill ran a 4.37 unofficially, while T.O. clocked in at a 4.42.

If we’re looking for a third thing to mention about Owens, he looks back on his time with the Bills fondly. Despite just a one-year stint, he wanted to return. But speaking of the team, Owens right now might actually, truly, seriously, run a fast 40-yard dash than guys currently on the roster.

And no, we don’t mean someone like Dion Dawkins or Star Lotulelei or other big men. Some of the wide receivers.

Again, Owens’ 40 times was an unofficial one and not done with the high-tech hookups at the yearly NFL Scouting Combine. But for comparisons sake, here’s some of the 40-yard times for current Bills wide receivers, either from the combine or unofficial times from pre-draft pro days:

  • Duke Williams: 4.73
  • Andre Robers: 4.46
  • Isaiah McKenzie: 4.42
  • Ray-Ray McCloud: 4.53
  • Robert Foster: 4.41
  • Nick Easley: 4.58
  • Stefon Diggs: 4.46
  • Gabriel Davis: 4.54
  • John Brown: 4.34
  • Cole Beasley 4.49

While we’re kidding about potentially signing Owens, he did say shortly after his 40-yard dash that the Chiefs should sign him.

Always a confident guy, that T.O.

We know playing receiver requires much more than running a straight line, but you’ve got to give it to Owens here. This is pretty impressive.
