Seven Longhorns selected within first three rounds of latest NFL mock draft

Pro Football Network projects seven Longhorns to be taken off the board within the first three rounds of the 2024 NFL draft.

Texas will be well represented in the 2024 NFL draft.

Considering the Longhorns didn’t have a single player selected in the 2022 NFL draft, having more than a handful of high draft prospects this year is a testament to the player development under Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian and his staff.

In Pro Football Network’s latest NFL mock draft, seven Longhorns are projected to be taken off the board within the first three rounds. On top of the slew of Texas players likely to be selected on the first two days of the draft, PFN believes wide receiver Jordan Whittington could come off the board on Day 3.

Texas’ top-rated draft prospect appears to be defensive tackle Byron Murphy, who many NFL draft analysts believe is a first-round prospect and the No. 1 interior defensive lineman in the 2024 draft class.

Here’s a look at where Ian Cummings of PFN projects Texas draft hopefuls will land within the first three rounds.
