SEC QB rankings at regular season’s end: Kyle Trask just means more

The Heisman Trophy may not go to a quarterback after all this year, but there’s no denying how close Trask and Jones have remained.

3. Matt Corral, Ole Miss.

No one is wowed by a stat line that includes six turnovers, as was the case for Corral with his five first-half interceptions and one fumble in the Rebels’ 53-48 loss to LSU last week.

Corral completed 15-of-27 passes for 251 yards with three touchdowns and five interceptions, also carrying the ball 17 times for 158 yards with one rushing touchdown.

He admitted to being overly aggressive, trying to do too much at a time. But not every one of those turnovers was Corral’s fault, and it’s important to note that he finished the game as the team’s leading rusher — something that was important to keeping Ole Miss in the mix.
