Seahawks LB Alton Robinson still not at full-speed after season on IR

Despite spending the season on the injured reserve, Seahawks linebacker Alton Robinson still hasn’t fully recovered from his knee injury.

Seattle Seahawks linebacker Alton Robinson was placed on the injured reserve ahead of the start of the 2022 campaign after suffering a knee injury in the preseason.

The hope was that Robinson would be back at some point in the fall, but that turned out not to be the case and he remained on the IR the entire year.

“There are some issues with his return,” coach Pete Carroll said last Monday. “It’s taken him a while. I don’t have the specifics on it, but I know it has been a struggle. I don’t have a good update for you, but he’s still in the process and he’s a ways from getting back and making it back to full speed. It’s a knee injury that there were some complications in there in the return, because it’s just taken him some time.

“He’s worked out hard at it, but he’s not full-speed running yet.”

Because Robinson sustained the injury so long ago, the expectation is that he’ll recover by the start of the new season.
