Rutgers is the favorite to land New Jersey’s Famah Toure

Rutgers is trending well with New Jersey wide receiver Famah Toure.

Famah Toure is one of the top players remaining uncommitted in New Jersey, and the three-star is currently being favored to Rutgers.

The wide receiver prospect out of Irvington, N.J. took official visits last month to Illinois and then Rutgers. Shortly after his official visit to the Scarlet Knights, Toure announced that he was shutting down his recruitment and would be making a decision this summer.

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, Rutgers is the favorite at 52.7 percent. Illinois is second but rather close in this battle for Toure, with the Illini’s chances at 46.1 percent. Temple stands a very distant third at 1.3 percent.

In the On3 Consensus, Toure is the No. 18 player in the state.

A class of 2023 recruit, Toure remains one of the top players in contention for Rutgers. Two other top players from New Jersey, three-star defensive lineman Ted Gregoire and four-star offensive lineman Chase Bisontis, are two of the top remaining recruits for Rutgers.

Last month following his official visit to Rutgers, Toure broke down his recruitment and his thoughts on the two Big Ten programs in his decision process.

As for Rutgers, Toure talked positively about his impressions on the Scarlet Knights:

“The visit was good,” Toure told RutgersWire. “Loved the hospitality, the coaches and players treated me with. My thoughts on the visit was [that] this could be home.”

The aforementioned Gregoire is planning on announcing his decision soon.
