Rookie players are taking over the NBA G League in 2019-20

Among the top scorers in the G League this season, five players in the top 10 are first-year players.

Rayjon Tucker, Wisconsin Herd

After a five-point debut on Nov. 8, Tucker has scored in double figures in each of his next 10 games. As a result, Tucker is seventh among all players in scoring with 215 points.

Tucker has proven to be a versatile offensive option for the Herd. He is averaging 19.5 points but is shooting 39.2% from 3-point range and is also capable of scoring from virtually all over the court.

Tucker could be a prime 10-day contract option for teams seeking help off of the bench down the stretch this season. Though the Bucks have a full roster, including two two-way contracts, Tucker is free to sign with another team in the NBA.
