Tennessee’s Rickea Jackson has been named to the Jersey Mike’s Naismith Trophy Player of the Year preseason watch list, which was released Monday.
Jackson, a fifth-year forward, is one of 50 players nominated for the award.
She has also been named to the Wade Trophy and Cheryl Miller Award preseason watch lists. Jackson has also been named First-Team All-SEC by both the media and the league’s coaches and AP Honorable Mention All-America honors from the Associated Press.
In her first year with the Lady Vols in 2022-23, Jackson averaged 19.2 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game.
She scored 20 points or more in 16 games last season, including eight consecutive contests with 20-plus points.
