Former New England Patriots wide receiver Phillip Dorsett is on the move. Tuesday, Dorsett agreed to a one-year deal with the Seattle Seahawks, per ESPN’S Josina Anderson.

Dorsett was part of the trade that saw quarterback Jacoby Brissett go to the Indianapolis Colts in September 2017.

His best season with New England came in 2019. He played in 14 games, starting four of them. He caught 29 passes for 387 yards and five touchdowns.

In terms of his top postseason performance, he had a productive 2018 run, one that culminated with the team winning the Super Bowl. He caught five passes for 70 yards and two touchdowns, averaging 14 yards per catch.

Dorsett achieved success from the get-go in 2019. In the team’s season-opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers, he caught four passes for 95 yards and two touchdowns.

The Miami product served his role in New England,  having been an important secondary piece at wide receiver.  He concludes his career in Foxborough having recorded 73 catches for 881 yards and eight touchdowns in three seasons.

Dorsett now joins a Seattle wide receiving group that includes the likes of quarterback Russell Wilson and playmaking wide receivers in DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett.
