The Philadelphia Eagles continue to trim their roster down to the league-mandated 53 players and Terez A. Paylor of Yahoo Sports is reporting that defensive tackle Anthony Rush will be released.
The Eagles will release DT Anthony Rush, a source tells @YahooSports.
Rush, 24, was a solid run defender in 171 defensive snaps for the Eagles last season, which could make him a candidate to get claimed despite no preseason games.

Rush was signed by the Eagles as an undrafted free agent last spring before being waived and signed to the Raiders practice squad. Rush was signed to the Eagles active roster in October after several injuries at defensive tackle and logged 10 tackles and three tackles for loss in nine games.
Rush is young and talented, but playing behind three of the top defensive tackles in football in Fletcher Cox, Javon Hargrave, and Malik Jackson.
With Rush’s release, the Eagles roster now sits at 62 players.
