The Bills defense had seven sacks on Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson, a season-high for the team. The front was led by Bills veteran, Jerry Hughes who had three sacks, and displayed his tremendous motor. His fellow defensive end, Trent Murphy, had two sacks, like Hughes he never gave up trying to chase down the elusive Deshaun Watson.

Watson was under pressure most of the night, and it errant throws and missed opportunities for Houston’s offense. This unit’s biggest issue was that they struggled to contain Watson once he left the pocket, and had trouble stopping the run.

While they brought Watson down seven times, if they didn’t bring him down on the first attempt he would escape the pocket, to create chunk plays with his legs.
