In the first half it looked like it was going to be Devin Singletary carrying the load for Buffalo’s offense. IHe carried the ball six times for 37 yards. He displayed quickness, power, and couldn’t be brought down by just one player. In the second half they kept feeding him the ball, but he wasn’t as productive. The rookie finished with 13 carries for 58 yards, an average of 4.5 yards per rush.
Singletary was also the teams leading receiver, he had six grabs for 76 yards, and gave the Bills excellent field position in overtime. Singletary has a bright future in Buffalo, and his performance against the Texans showed that he can develop into a star.
Frank Gore carried the ball just eight times, for 22 yards in what could be his last game in a Bills uniform. The aging back never got the ball rolling at his time in Buffalo, but he was the perfect mentor for Devin Singletary.
