Secondary: B-
The secondary displayed their depth against New York with the likes of Siran Neal, Jaquan Johnson, and Dean Marlowe all playing significant minutes. The backups did a good job of preventing any big plays, and stiffing up if the Jets made it into the redzone.
Levi Wallace, the only starter in the secondary who played more than two series created the only turnover for Buffalo, intercepting Darnold in the first quarter. The Bills should have had a second interception in the second quarter, but a Kevin Coleman penalty negated the pick by Jaquan Johnson.
The Bills secondary took a hit though, with Wallace leaving the game with an ankle injury. It was a non-contact injury which always makes the injury seem more severe. If there was one thing this game showed though, is that the Bills secondary is exceptionally deep. Wallace left the game in a walking boot.
Exactly what the #Bills didn’t want to see. Non-contact injury for Levi Wallace. pic.twitter.com/FMPY5PIgDW
