Defensive line: B-

The defensive line had a mix of starters and backups play throughout the game, notably, Ed Oliver, Jordan Phillips, and Trent Murphy played through the majority of the game. Murphy was dominating his matchups in the pass rush sacking the quarterback twice, and making Sam Darnold feel uncomfortable in the pocket.

Ed Oliver was able to disrupt both the run and pass game for New York, he had just four tackles but that doesn’t tell the whole story for Oliver. He was in the face of Sam Darnold, and pushing Le’Veon Bell to the arms his teammates. It was important for Oliver to get meaningful reps against one of the top running backs in the league because of his struggles this season.

The entire line had a solid game, helping the defense maintain Bell to just 41 yards on 16 carries, and Sam Darnold to 199 yards.
