Running backs: D
The Buffalo Bills saw three running backs touch the ball against New York, and they combined for 47 yards. Rookie Devin Singletary was one of the starters that didn’t play, which meant Frank Gore started the game for Buffalo.
Frank Gore ran the ball six times for 26 yards, an average of 4.3 yards per carry. Gore had minimal impact, like the rest of the other backs, on the game. His highlight was a 10-yard run where he displayed power, pushing a pile of Jets and Bills for the first down.
T.J. Yeldon and Senorise Perry carried the ball ten times for 21 yards. Yeldon averaged 2.3 yards per carry, and Perry had three carries for three yards. Yeldon’s biggest impact came in the passing attack, where he had three catches for 24 yards. The backs weren’t very productive, but were hampered by vanilla play calling and an aggressive New York Jets defense that had nothing to lose.
