Ravens vs. Browns inactives: Who’s not playing in Week 1

The Baltimore Ravens will have two rookies sitting out Week 1 while the Browns have four injuries creating most of their inactive list

The Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns will slug it out at M&T Bank Stadium for Week 1 of the 2020 regular season. But not every player on the 53-man roster will be suited up and get on the field today. Both injuries and strategy will dictate which players are inactive for both the Ravens and Browns.

Baltimore will have cornerback Jimmy Smith active after adding him to the injury report with back spasms right before kickoff. While the Ravens could still limit his snap count this week, having rookie safety Geno Stone inactive seems to point against it. However, fellow rookies Justin Madubuike and Ben Bredeson won’t suit up for their first NFL games this week.

Take a look at the six players the Ravens have inactive for Week 1.

Baltimore Ravens Week 1 inactives:

Player Position
Trace McSorley QB
Chris Moore WR
Geno Stone S
Justice Hill RB
Ben Bredeson G
Justin Madubuike DT

Cleveland had most of their inactive list decided for them due to injuries. Greedy Williams, Kevin Johnson, Mack Wilson, and Chris Hubbard were already ruled out due to their respective injuries, meaning they needed just two others to be held out.

Here’s who the Browns have inactive for Week 1.

Cleveland Browns Week 1 inactives:

Player Position
Donovan Peoples-Jones WR
Greedy Williams CB
Kevin Johnson CB
Mack Wilson LB
