No. 4 Sixers lose 27th straight game November 27, 2015
The 2015-16 season was just miserable for the franchise as they finished 10-72. They started 0-17 on the season and the 17th loss, a 116-114 setback to the Houston Rockets, broke their own NBA record for futility. The loss was their 27th straight dating back to the previous season which set a new record for the longest losing streak in major U.S. professional sports history. The 2013-14 Sixers dropped 26 in a row as well.
Robert Covington led Philadelphia with 28 points and Jahlil Okafor had 11 points and six rebounds one day removed from the infamous Boston nightclub incident. It was a valiant effort for the Sixers in all honesty, but James Harden had 50 points for Houston and that was just too much for them.
Afterward, Covington told reporters:
A time’s going to come where we finally put everything together and come up with a victory.
