No. 1 Joel Embiid’s debut vs. Thunder October 26, 2016

This was the game that changed everything. This night in October, a franchise savior finally stepped on to the floor after missing two years with foot injuries. There was a ton of hype and excitement surrounding the debut of Embiid and he did not disappoint. He had 20 points on 6-for-16 shooting with seven rebounds in just 22 minutes in the 103-97 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Embiid is the poster child of the Process. He uses it as a nickname, PA announcer Matt Cord introduces him as Joel “The Process” Embiid before every game, and he feeds off of that to help the city. The Process could finally move forward with a franchise cornerstone.

Embiid told reporters:

I love this city and I just want to appreciate the moment.
