Quinn Ewers among standouts at the Manning Passing Academy

Quinn Ewers continues to dominate the offseason.

The 2023 Manning Passing Academy is taking place at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana. Quarterbacks of the future look to develop their skills and become better signal callers.

While being able to learn from anyone with the last name of Manning is a great opportunity, the youngsters also have a chance to be mentored by a college quarterback. Some of college football’s best signal callers are helping out with the campers, but they also get to compete as well.

Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers is one of the college attendees. According to a report by On3, Ewers has been shining. The Texas quarterback was reportedly exuding the confidence we saw from him early in the 2022 season.

Remember the confident quarterback who had Alabama’s defense on its heels before he exited the game with an injury? That’s the Ewers that showed up to Friday evening’s quarterback competition in South Louisiana. Ewers throws an effortless ball and showed the ability to hit on a variety of passes. Texas fans are excited for the future in five-star signee Arch Manning, but with Manning’s father Cooper on the microphone for Friday night’s skills competition, the praise for Ewers came early and often. Ewers is the present in Austin, and the upside is clear.

Arch Manning, who was an early enrollee and five-star that Texas landed in the 2023 class, is also in attendance. Manning didn’t take part in Friday’s festivities. Ewers was named a standout with other major names such as Drake Maye (North Carolina), Joe Milton (Tennessee) and Michael Penix Jr. (Washington).

With all of these rave reviews about Ewers, Texas fans are continuing to see their hopes and expectations skyrocket.
