Projecting the Ohio State basketball starting lineup, key players for next season 2.0

After more moves and news, we’re taking a second stab at projecting Ohio State basketball’s starting lineup, key players for next season.

As soon as the season ended, we went through an exercise of projecting what Ohio State basketball’s starting lineup and key contributors could look like for the 2021-2022 season. Since then, there have been some changes. Musa Jallow transferred out of the program, the Buckeyes brought in Penn State transfer guard Jabari Wheeler and Indiana transfer Joey Brunk, and Kyle Young surprised everyone by deciding to come back for one more season.

Add all of that to both E.J. Liddell and Duane Washington testing the NBA waters, and it has thrown the whole thing upside down. We still have to wait on Liddell and Washington’s decision, but we’re going to assume they come back (which is not a given but probable). With all of that in mind, here is our second effort at projecting what the five starters for most of next hoops season at Ohio State could look like, with a run through the rest of the key contributors.

We reserve the right to change this and be wrong, because — well, college basketball.
