Player grades: Zach LaVine, Bulls knock off Sixers on the road in double OT

Zach LaVine and the Chicago Bulls knocked off the Philadelphia 76ers on the road in Philly.

PHILADELPHIA–The Philadelphia 76ers returned home for the one home game during this current stretch where they play seven of eight on the road to play host to the Chicago Bulls. The Sixers entered the contest winners of eight in a row and they were looking to keep that streak going while also earning their playoff spot.

It was a defensive battle as both teams couldn’t find an offensive rhythm. It was a game that looked reminiscent of something in the early 2000s as the pace was slow and Philadelphia committed a slew of turnovers. They were not able to overcome that and the Bulls walked away with a 109-105 double overtime win and spoiled the potential playoff clincher for the Sixers. Zach LaVine had 26 and seven assists for Chicago.

Embiid had 37 points, 16 rebounds, and three blocks to lead the way before fouling out in the second overtime, Tobias Harris had 14 points and nine rebounds, Tyrese Maxey had 22, six assists, and five rebounds, and James Harden had five points on 2-for-14 shooting, seven rebounds, and 12 assists. De’Anthony Melton chipped in with 19 and six rebounds off the bench.
