Player grades: Joel Embiid, Sixers bounce back in a big way to beat Hawks

Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers responded in a big way in order to knock off the Atlanta Hawks at home.

PHILADELPHIA–The Philadelphia 76ers returned home on Saturday looking to bounce back from a dreadful night in Atlanta on Thursday. In a rematch with the Hawks, they were able to bounce back in a big way.

The Sixers moved the ball, they played with pace, and they were able to walk away with a 121-109 victory and get back in the win column despite seeing a 27-point lead dwindle down to six. Joel Embiid led the way with 42 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists as the Hawks didn’t have much of an answer and the Sixers also got a big night out of Tyrese Maxey.

Maxey had 24 points on 9-for-16 shooting and he added nine assists to break out of his slump, Tobias Harris added 19 and five rebounds, Shake Milton had 11, and Furkan Korkmaz had seven before leaving with an injury.
