As Michigan basketball readies to take the court on Wednesday, its next game set for Jan. 9 now will not happen.
Penn State — who the Wolverines defeated in the home matchup in December — was set to host the maize and blue for the rematch on Saturday. However, as the Nittany Lions deal with COVID-19 issues, the school announced that it has to postpone its foreseeable games. Unfortunately for Michigan basketball fans, that means that the game is off until further notice.

It’s the second contest of the 2020-21 season to be postponed and the first in the Big Ten Conference. The Wolverines lost their December matchup in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge with NC State — a game that has yet to be rescheduled.
Penn State men’s basketball has paused all team-related activities due to positive COVID-19 results among its Tier 1 personnel. Due to the pause, the Nittany Lions’ home games against Michigan (Jan. 9) and Rutgers (Jan. 12) have been postponed. https://t.co/x9vHy0jo4x
