49ers roster moves: 2 more signed to Reserve/Futures contracts

The San Francisco 49ers have now added 15 players via Reserve/Futures contracts.

The San Francisco 49ers on Wednesday announced two more offseason additions via Reserve/Futures contracts. Undrafted rookie tight end Chase Harrell and undrafted safety Jared Mayden were both added to the 13 San Francisco signed Monday.

Harrell joined the club as an undrafted rookie out of Arkansas. He was with the team throughout training camp and spent the year on the practice squad.

Mayden was also an undrafted free agent signee out of Alabama. While he spent most of the season on the practice squad, injuries pushed him to the active roster for two games where he played 24 special teams snaps.

Both players will have an opportunity again to compete for spots on the 53-man roster.
