Week 4 of the NBA season continues on Monday with a slate that’s highlighted by an emotional reunion of the defending champions with the man that delivered them the Larry O’Brien trophy in what should be a fantastic matchup at the Staples Center.

Raptors vs. Clippers

  • When: Monday, November 11
  • Time: 10:30 p.m. ET
  • TV: Fox Sports West

Kawhi Leonard. This is the man everyone wants to watch in the NBA this season, and his load management has led to some groans by those who just love to see the best player in the league do the things that led to him winning a championship last June and the Finals MVP. Leonard did it for the Toronto Raptors, who come to Staples Center to play the Clippers in what will most likely be the first meeting between player and team — if Kawhi doesn’t sit this one out.

The Raptors will be playing in the second night of a back-to-back at Staples after an exciting 113-104 win against the Lakers on Sunday night. Pascal Siakam has made the jump to superstar, OG Anunoby has done well in Leonard’s old spot in the lineup, and the champions are playing like it so far. It will be an awesome atmosphere in Los Angeles and expect Leonard to be excited to see his former teammates for the first time since signing with the Clippers.

Jimmy Garoppolo busts out his own hip-thrusting warmup before MNF and fans had jokes

NFL QB hip warmup videos are now a thing.

So it looks like we have a new thing on our hands, and that thing is videos of NFL quarterbacks working on getting their hips warmed up before games.

This started Sunday night when the NBC SNF broadcast gave the world a great video of Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott doing an explosive hip-thrusting move before the game. Fans quickly had fun putting that to music and the hashtag #DakDancesToAnything was born.

Now we have another QB showing off his hips as 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo was seen doing something that looked like a Hula Hoop motion with the Hula Hoop before Monday night’s game against the Seattle Seahawks:

Warming up hips is nothing new, as this video of Jimmy G from a game against the Rams picked up steam on Twitter on Monday afternoon:

49ers rookie defensive end Nick Bosa even gave it a shot, too:

Donovan McNabb, meanwhile, isn’t happy with jokes about this stuff.

But fans had jokes about Jimmy G’s moves:

Aaron Jones, Jamaal Williams emerging as top NFL RB tandem for Packers

Matt LaFleur and the Packers are getting maximum returns from RBs Aaron Jones and Jamaal Williams in 2019.

Going into the 2019 NFL season, the running back position was a bit of a mystery for the Green Bay Packers.

Aaron Jones had flashed moments of stardom during his first two NFL seasons, but he wasn’t able to finish out either year due to injuries and that naturally raised questions about his ability to handle the workload of a feature back.

Jamaal Williams has always shined in pass protection and shown solid receiving ability, but he underwhelmed as a runner in his first two NFL seasons and he wasn’t given as many opportunities as a receiver over that time span as he probably should have been, especially now in hindsight.

But all of that’s changed in 2019.

In Matt LaFleur’s offensive scheme, Jones and Williams have been utilized to their maximum potential.

Through 10 games, Jones is tied with Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey for the league lead in touchdowns with 14. He’s also on pace for over 1,500 all-purpose yards and 21 total touchdowns.

Williams currently leads the Packers with five receiving touchdowns, and his yards-per-carry average is up to 4.5 from 3.8 last year.

Jones’ improved ability in pass protection has allowed him to stay on the field for more snaps, and the increased usage as a receiver has allowed him to become a major weapon for quarterback Aaron Rodgers in the passing game.

Williams has also seen a major uptick in passing game work. His previous career-high for receptions in a single season was 27, and this year, he’s already up to 25.

With LaFleur calling plays, the Packers are finally taking advantage of their running backs’ receiving ability, and that change is a big reason why they’ve been able to get by with lackluster production from their receiver group.

The good, the bad and the ugly from Colts’ loss to Dolphins

The good, the bad and the ugly from Week 10.

[jwplayer rzKgNnfu-ThvAeFxT]

As the Indianapolis Colts (5-4) attempt to recover from what was an abysmal performance against the Miami Dolphins (2-7) on Sunday, it is important to look back at what went right and what went wrong.

While the takeaways from the game will be predominantly negative—because that’s how it works after a loss to a team like the Dolphins. But there were some positives that stood out despite the loss.

Here is the good, the bad and the ugly from Week 10:

The Good

LB Darius Leonard: He certainly looked like an All-Pro in this game. The Maniac led the team with 13 tackles (11 solo) while adding a sack, an interception, a forced fumble, two tackles for loss and two passes defended.

DE Justin Houston: The veteran edge rusher was solid against the run and extended his sack streak to five games. He has six total over that span.

Rookie CBs: The Colts relied heavily on rookie cornerbacks Rock Ya-Sin and Marvell Tell. Both held their own and made some big plays throughout the loss.

TE Jack Doyle: Ol’ Reliable was the lone bright spot in the offense on Sunday. He caught three passes for 44 yards and a touchdown.

The Bad

Offensive Line: They struggled in run blocking (3.8 yards per carry) and the right side was porous in pass protection, especially when facing a stunt.

Red Zone Offense: The Colts had their share of chances to score touchdowns. But they converted just one of their four trips inside the 20-yard-line.

K Adam Vinatieri: The good news is Vinatieri made both of his field-goal attempts. The bad news is he missed another extra-point attempt—one that cost the Colts a chance to tie the game on their final drive.

The Ugly

QB Brian Hoyer: What to say that hasn’t already been said. It was a feeble outing for the veteran, who tossed three interceptions and recorded a 38.8 passer rating. Suffice it to say the Colts need Jacoby Brissett to return ASAP.

Report: Chiefs DE Emmanuel Ogbah to have season-ending surgery on torn pec

It sounds like the MRI results are in for Kansas City Chiefs DE Emmanuel Ogbah and the news is not good.

[jwplayer rzKgNnfu-ThvAeFxT]

The Kansas City Chiefs defense looks to be losing one of their pass rushers for the remainder of 2019.

Yesterday evening, Andy Reid let us know that they believed DE Emmanuel Ogbah had suffered a torn pectoral muscle in the Chiefs’ 35-32 loss to the Tennessee Titans. It appears that he’s since had an MRI to confirm the initial diagnosis, and according to a new report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Ogbah will require season-ending surgery.

It’s not an ideal situation for Kansas City as Ogbah has been a big surprise. He came over to the Chiefs in a player-for-player swap with the Browns where the Chiefs sent safety Eric Murray to Cleveland. Since the trade, Ogbah has seen one of the best seasons in his career, matching his career sack total of 5.5 in just four starts and 10 total appearances with Kansas City.

This could be the last we see of Ogbah with the Chiefs as he’s currently slated to become a free agent in 2020. Kansas City could try and work out a deal to re-sign him but they’re going to be up against the cap trying to fit big contracts for DT Chris Jones and QB Patrick Mahomes.

Replacing Ogbah’s production in the meantime will be a difficult task for the Chiefs as they’ve seen quite a bit of attrition along the defensive line already. Starters Alex Okafor and Frank Clark have both dealt with injuries throughout the season.

Right now, there isn’t a clear move to make when Kansas City decides to send Ogbah to IR. They could potentially elevate Cameron Malveaux from the practice squad or bring in some free agents for tryouts. One thing we’ll likely see is more snaps from Jones at defensive end for the time being. He’s played there several times over the past two weeks due to injuries along the defensive line.

Ohio State vs. Rutgers 2019 football Preview And Prediction

Ohio State hits the road to take on a Rutgers team that isn’t good at football. Here’s a preview and prediction. It’s gonna be ugly.

Records

Ohio State (9-0), Rutgers (2-7)

Broadcast, TV, Game Time

Date: Saturday, November 16
Game Time: 3:30 ET
Network: Big Ten Network
Venue: SHI Stadium, Piscataway, NJ – Capacity: 52,454
All-Time Series: Ohio State leads 5-0
Last Meeting: Ohio State defeated Rutgers 52-3 in 2018

No Chase Young? No problem. Well, at least not against Maryland.

Rutgers won’t pose much more of a problem than a small speed bump on the way to a final stretch of games that will determine the Buckeye’s CFP fate. Coaches can tell you not to look ahead and to take each opponent seriously, but if Rutgers were to find someway to be competitive, let alone beat Ohio State, it would certainly go down as one of the biggest upsets in college football history.

Seriously. There’s simply no way this thing is close. But … there’s still a game to play and an all-expenses trip to take to the garden state, so off we go on this journey.

Win and you’re in… it’s that simple. Before we start looking ahead to the big ones, the Bucks need to take care of business in Piscataway.

Next … The game plan
