Indiana Pacers rookie Kendall Brown produced his first career double-double in the NBA G League on Tuesday to help the Fort Wayne Mad Ants to a win over the Cleveland Charge.

Brown, who is signed to a two-way contract, recorded 12 points, 12 rebounds, three steals, two assists and one blocked shot in the 143-101 wire-to-wire win at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. He went 6-of-15 from the field in 23 minutes of work.

The 48th pick got to work early in the contest, hauling in seven boards alone in the first quarter. He also had a couple of nice finishes in the paint, including an alley-oop layup in the closing minute.

The performance on Tuesday continued a strong run by Brown with the Mad Ants. He is averaging 13.3 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 2.3 assists on 48.9% shooting from the field in four games. He has scored in double figures three times as his 12 rebounds were a season high.

The Pacers loved the addition of Brown in the second round this year and believe he can develop into a rotation player. He is still a bit raw in terms of his offensive ability, but the early showing by the 19-year-old is certainly an encouraging sign.

Fort Wayne returns to action on Friday versus the Iowa Wolves.
