Indiana Pacers rookie Kendall Brown will miss the remainder of the season after undergoing a successful surgical procedure to address a right tibia stress fracture, the team announced.
Brown, who is signed to a two-way contract, initially suffered a stress reaction in his right tibia in December and was ruled out indefinitely. He missed six weeks of action and returned to play with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants in the G League.
The 48th pick continued to try to play through the pain and made 10 appearances with the Mad Ants after returning on Jan. 22. The original stress reaction was eventually upgraded to a fracture and the decision to have surgery was made at that point.
He is expected to make a full and complete recovery.

Brown made six appearances with the Pacers, totaling nine points, six rebounds, four steals and three assists. He averaged 10.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.4 steals on 50.7% shooting from the field in 16 games with Fort Wayne.
