Texas Tech – Can Alan Bowman stay healthy?
In two seasons for the Red Raiders, starting quarterback Alan Bowman has shown promise. As a true freshman, he threw for 2,638 yards with 17 touchdowns and seven interceptions. The problem? He only played in eight games due to injury.
Going into 2019, Bowman was expected to pick up where he left off, but once again fell short due to getting injured in the third game of the season against Arizona.
Hopefully, for the Red Raiders, Bowman is going to be able to finally stay healthy for a full 12 game season. If he is, Matt Wells could have another special quarterback on his hands in Lubbock.
Once on the field, Bowman will have excellent weapons around to help him succeed. Erik Ezukanma will be back for his redshirt sophomore season, after leading Texas Tech in receiving yards last season. Tight end TJ Vasher will also be back after catching six touchdowns last year.
Stop me if you have heard me before, but the Red Raiders should carry a stellar offensive team into next season. If Bowman can stay healthy for all 12 games next season, Texas Tech’s offense will be a force to be reckoned with.
