Going into 2020, the Big 12 is still trying to make its national presence known across the country. Since the College Football Playoff began in 2014, the conference has yet to win a semifinal game and has even failed to make it into the playoff twice.
As a whole, the conference has been carried by Oklahoma, with the remaining nine teams being well below the level of the Sooners.
However, this season should be different with teams such as Baylor, Texas, Oklahoma State, and Iowa State waiting at the doorstep, prime to breakthrough, and possibly make a statement.
Even then, each team in the Big 12 has a big question going into the 2020 season.
From the top of the conference in Oklahoma and their questions surrounding the quarterback position, to the bottom with Kansas and their ability to win more than three games this season, nothing is certain for the conference this upcoming season.
