Oklahoma DB Tre Norwood declares for 2021 NFL Draft

Oklahoma defensive back Tre Norwood announced via Twitter that he is declaring for the 2021 NFL Draft.

Another Oklahoma player is choosing to head to the professional ranks.

Sooners defensive back Tre Norwood announced via Twitter on Friday that he would be foregoing the 2021 season, instead electing to enter the 2021 NFL Draft.

Norwood is certainly going out on a high note after he had a huge pick six in the early going of the Goodyear Cotton Bowl on Wednesday that helped Oklahoma build a quick lead that they wouldn’t relent.

Norwood’s announcement comes on the heels of center Creed Humphrey doing the same on Thursday, and fellow defensive back Tre Brown doing so back before the Cotton Bowl. He finishes his career with six career interceptions, five of which came this season in by far his best year.

Obviously comfortable with where his draft stock stands currently, Norwood will now turn his attention to the NFL Scouting Combine and the draft in the coming months.
