It won’t be as easy as weeks’ past, but Ohio State is just on another playing field when it comes to the opposition in the Big Ten this year. Yeah, Penn State has had some exceptional recruiting over the last few years, but the top end athlete in Columbus has an edge. With the game at home, and with the return of Chase Young and with all the weapons on both sides of the ball, the Buckeyes win pretty easily. Penn State will put up a fight though.

Ohio State most likely won’t win by 42, but the Buckeyes have a much deeper team than Penn State. Too many weapons on offense will get the Buckeyes into the end zone often and a rested Chase Young will look to wreak havoc. Penn State will be able to keep it reasonably close in the first half before the Bucks take off to seal a signature top ten win.

The spread is currently at 18. I think it will drop to 16.5 on Saturday and the Buckeyes don’t cover. Penn State will score a late touchdown to cover. But they still win, and that’s all that matters. Weather could be a factor, but Wisconsin thought the same thing and look how that turned out. Did I also mention Chase Young is back? 3.5 sacks, book it.

This game makes me nervous. There are too many people calling for an Ohio State blowout Saturday despite what appear to be concerning weather reports. Penn State will be up for this one. Everything is on the line. I think the Buckeyes do enough offensively to get it done, but won’t beat the spread.
