Ohio State running back Master Teague has best odds of any Ohio State player to win Heisman according to BetMGM

According to BetMGM, Master Teague is the odds-on favorite of any in scarlet and gray to win the Heisman in 2021.

Soft-spoken Ohio State running back Master Teague has played most of his Buckeye career in the shadows of others. First, it was backing up J.K. Dobbins. Then, after an injury in the Big Ten Championship game, Trey Sermon stole the spotlight breaking OSU rushing records.

But maybe this is Teague’s year. Many forget that while backing up Dobbins as a redshirt freshman, Teague gained more than 700 yards on the ground and earned third-team All-Conference honors. And last year, he was coming off an Achilles injury and may not have been fully at 100 percent.

Teague will again be battling for attention as ballyhooed freshman TreVeyon Henderson is getting tons of hype and has looked good in practice situations. However, at least one outlet believes Teague is the clear leader in the clubhouse as BetMGM has given the running back the best odds of any current Buckeye to win the Heisman Trophy.

Teague comes in just outside of the top ten of Heisman favorites, with 28/1 odds putting him at No. 11 on the list. There are only two other Buckeyes getting Heisman attention. Jack Miller and C.J. Stroud come in at 40/1 odds.
