The last name of Pickett is familiar to [autotag]Ohio State[/autotag] fans after Ryan dominated the middle of the Buckeye defensive line from 1998 to 2000.
His nephew, [autotag]Booker Pickett Jr.[/autotag], is a 6-foot, 3-inch and 205-pound edge rusher who is highly considering following in his uncles footsteps. The elder Booker played for Miami in the mid-90’s, is an intriguing option for the Florida native as well.
Both schools made Pickett Jr.’s final five along with South Carolina, Georgia and Florida State. The defender is ranked as No. 13 edge rusher and the 190th overall player according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. He made an unofficial visit to Columbus during the spring, but has yet to make any official visits.
