We already knew Ohio State had one whale of a 2021 football recruiting class, but the more and more things materialize, the more things start to sink in on the amazing top-end talent that appears set to make its mark on the banks of the Olentangy soon.
The latest comes by way of the final, updated 2021 class individual rankings from 247Sports. According to those, the Buckeyes have four of the top ten prospects committed already, and we all know there could be another on the way as we wait for five-star defensive end J.T. Tuimoloau (No. 1 according to 247Sports) to decide. He currently considered a very heavy lean to Ohio State but is expected to wait to make his decision after the traditional National Signing Day.
But back to the guys already in the fold. The four in the top ten include defensive end Jack Sawyer (5), offensive lineman Donovan Jackson (6), wide receiver Emeka Egbuka (8), and running back TreVeyon Henderson (10). All but Jackson are already enrolled and on campus as well. Keep in mind, these are not the composite rankings, but the evaluation and rankings that 247Sports perform on their own.
Alabama is the only other program that has multiple commitments in the top ten with two. The Tide also has the No. 11 and No. 12 prospects as well. You can’t cook the dinner without the groceries, and OSU is pulling in some gourmet ingredients for the future.
