We’ve all been waiting for it, and now it is official. Ohio State defensive end Chase Young will forego his senior season to enter the 2020 NFL Draft. Young announced his decision on Twitter today thanking many that have helped him along his journey.
The 6-5, 265 lb. wrecking ball was a force this year. He set the single-season sack record for Ohio State, was a Heisman Finalist and won several post-season awards and accolades.
Up until this point, Young made it sound like he was actually contemplating coming back for another season, but the lure of being one of the top picks in the 2020 NFL Draft was the decision most of us believed he would eventually make.
Now it’s off to the next level where he will get a chance to prove his worth in the NFL. Young will no doubt be known as a legend in Columbus and we wish him well.
You can see his tweet and read his thank you announcement below.
