Four-star Ohio State football commit Reid Carrico has been invited to the All-American Bowl, another feat for the young inside linebacker. Carrico is ranked as the second-best ILB in the Class of 2021 according to 247Sports.
From Ironton, Ohio, Carrico accepted his offer to Ohio State over those of other top-tier programs like Alabama and Clemson.
That said, Carrico, who announced his commitment back in September after attending Ohio State’s spring game in 2019, is the second-best recruit from the state and rated as the 74th overall recruit in the class.
He’s destined to bring a hard-hitting force in the middle of the field, but with another year in high school left, Carrico is bound to continue to rack in the accomplishments.
His latest was being invited to play in the prestigious bowl, a development he announced on Twitter yesterday.

Carrico won’t be there alone though, as a few other Ohio State commits will be playing the star-studded game as well.
“The 2021 All-American Bowl is scheduled for Jan. 9 at 1:00 pm ET, to be nationally televised on NBC. Ohio State commitments who have accepted the invitation to play in the game so far are quarterback Kyle McCord and offensive lineman Donovan Jackson,” 247 Sports’ Bill Kurelic wrote.
With Carrico improving and others noticing, Ohio State’s Class of 2021, one that boasts ten four-star recruits and three five-stars, is looking more and more like it could finish at the nation’s best.
