Jaylin Davies, a four-star cornerback in the Class of 2021, has listed Ohio State, along with USC, ASU, and Oregon in his final four. This announcement comes from Davies’ Twitter.
As for Davies, the Mater Dei product, has all West Coast teams in his final four except for Ohio State, making them more of a standout option. Davies is from Santa Ann, California.
Of these four teams, OSU certainly has the greatest track record for developing NFL-ready cornerbacks. A top-ten corner in the class, Davies has the ceiling of a first-round pick.
It wasn’t just Ohio State that wanted Davies though. Powerhouses like Alabama, Auburn, and Michigan were also in the race and had offered the 6-foot, 1-inch, 165-pound stud.
That said, here’s a look at his official final four announcement.

Defensive coordinator Kerry Coombs will always use the numbers on the back-end.
Shaun Wade is expected to leave after this next season, and Coombs’ top-two cornerbacks from this past season both ended up being first-round picks in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Ohio State has been active in going after defensive backs in recruiting but Davies may instantly play a good-sized role on Ohio State’s team, one destined to be one of the best in the NCAA.
