Offensive linemen and the curse of the No. 2 pick

Take a look at some offensive linemen who were selected second overall in the NFL draft but failed to live up to expectations.

2004: Robert Gallery, 2nd overall pick by Oakland Raiders

Gallery was a monster offensive tackle out of Iowa when the Raiders made him the second overall pick. Peter King even wrote an article about Gallery calling him “the best lineman to come out of college in years.” But Gallery failed to live up to expectations, never materializing into the generational talent many had predicted. He was with the Raiders until 2010 before signing with the Seattle Seahawks, where he lasted just one season. Out of the first eight players selected in the 2004 draft, Gallery was the only one who failed to make a Pro Bowl during his career. Take a look at some of the names of those players below.
