Oddsmakers: Jets have little shot of winning Super Bowl 57

Oddsmakers aren’t too high on the Jets’ chances of making a run to Super Bowl 57 next year.

Hope springs eternal with the start of every new NFL season. Every team thinks it has a chance to make a deep postseason run if all the stars align. Positivity is the flavor of the offseason — even for teams who are coming off horrendous seasons, like the Jets.

Tipico Sportsbook recently released its Super Bowl 57 odds and New York isn’t being given much of a chance to turn the tide and play for a Lombardi Trophy in 2023. The Jets are tied with the Jaguars, Lions and Texans for the worst Super Bowl 57 odds at +10000.

New York went 4-13 in Robert Saleh’s first season as head coach. The Jets made progress as the year went on, but they are still a young team in the midst of a rebuild. Gang Green could take the next step in 2022 if key pieces such as Zach Wilson, Michael Carter, Elijah Moore and Alijah Vera-Tucker continue to progress, but they are still a long way off from contending for a Super Bowl.

The Bills and the Chiefs are the early favorites to win next year’s Super Bowl with +650 odds. The Rams are third with +1200 odds and the Bengals are tied for fourth with +1300 odds.
