Newest US LBM Coaches Poll released. How far did Ohio State drop after the loss to Oregon?

Is this about right? #GoBucks

Saturday night was a bizarre kind of game, one in which Ohio State was very much out of character with a bushel of mistakes and mental lapses, yet somehow was still in position to win the game at the end.

It ultimately didn’t happen because of a series of unfortunate events after finding itself in field goal range to win the game with the sands of the hourglass running out. Ultimately, the Buckeyes lost a 32-31 heartbreaker and now have little room for error the rest of the season.

But how did the loss impact Ohio State’s ranking in the newest US LBM Coaches Poll? Well, it isn’t too terribly bad. In fact, OSU fell down three spots to No. 5, behind Texas (1), Oregon (2), Penn State (3), and Georgia (4). Rounding out the top ten are Miami (6), Alabama (7), LSU (8), Clemson (9), and Tennessee (10).

Ohio State now will have a week off before hosting Nebraska in a couple of weeks. Let’s hope some of the miscues and mistakes are addressed during the time off.
