It’s that time of the week once again when the US LBM Coaches Poll is released after the latest weekend of games. This week saw most of the top ranked teams get by unscathed, but barely in the case of Ohio State, which survived a scare against a Nebraska team that was an over 20 point underdog heading in.
There weren’t a ton of upsets, but there was some movement in the poll — as there almost always is. The good news for Buckeyes’ fans is that the team remained No. 4 with all of its games still on the table. Oregon remained No. 1 followed by Georgia and Penn State. Rounding out the top ten after Ohio State is Miami (FL) (5), Texas (6), Tennessee (7), Clemson (8), Notre Dame (9), and Iowa State (10).
Other Big Ten teams appearing in the poll include Indiana (13), and Illinois (24), making it five conference teams inside the US LBM Coaches Poll top 25.
Week 9 in college football featured plenty of intrigue but few actual upsets.
